Theft is too much in Agric. It has discouraged a lot of people. I don't know if it's hunger or greed that is pushing people to steal.

When I started snail farming, I wasn’t chasing fame or quick profits; I was chasing understanding. Because beneath every successful farm lies a system… and beneath every system lies a story of trials, failures, and resilience. The snail industry in Africa is still finding its structure; one of the easiest to enter, yet the fastest to fail. Many jump in with enthusiasm, only to exit with regrets, debt, and broken dreams — not because snails don’t thrive, but because systems don’t exist. At NGsnails (ngsnails.com), I made a decision early that if we must build a sustainable snail value chain, then research must lead the way. We studied snail genetics, growth cycles, feed dynamics, soil pH balance, and the relationship between tree crops, shade, and microclimate. Six years down the line, we built a climate-smart model that grows snails faster, stronger, and healthier. When we replicated our model across 6 states, the results were the same with Healthy snails, Stable farm systems and Predictable growth. More importantly; farmers who finally had hope again by reviving their snail farms. Now, imagine if we can get 1,000 more structured farms doing the same thing; Nigeria won’t just feed herself, she’ll become the export hub for snail meat, slime, and bio-innovations across Africa. The future belongs to those who are patient enough to study the process and bold enough to improve it. That’s the essence of innovation! © Ezekiel Olajumoke ✍️ #SustainableAgriculture #AgribusinessLeadership #SnailFarmingAfrica #CircularEconomy #AgriInnovation #ClimateSmartFarming #YouthInAgriculture #ResearchDrivenGrowth #FarmSmartGrowBig #NGsnails #AfricanFoodSystems #AgriMentorship

A year ago, I made a bold decision to start from the scratch again. Not because I failed, but because I saw a problem hidden in plain sight— agricultural waste. Each time we processed snails, I’d look at the piles of discarded shells, plant residues, and biomass from farms across Nigeria and ask myself, “How can these wastes become wealth?” The more I researched, the more I saw the truth that; these materials take decades to degrade, polluting the environment and atmosphere we depend on. That’s how Nectar Agrosolutions was born — a company focused on transforming Agric biowastes into eco-innovations that restore the soil, protect crops, and power sustainable farms. Today, we recycle snail shells, periwinkle shells, palm kernels, and other biomass into biopesticides, biofertilizers, and briquette precursors. Just solutions built by Africans, for Africa. But here’s the truth, building something new is never easy. I’ve had to fund it from personal savings, fabricate equipment from scratch, and lean on the unwavering support of close friends who believe in the vision. Then I stumbled on the Lagos Agrithon 2025 Grant powered by @lagosagric1 At first, I ignored it. But Jacob Abiodun slid into my DM and insisted I apply. I got busy and missed the deadline. A month later, @akinwale_cfi shared the opportunity again and I knew that was my moment. Fast forward, we scaled through the first and second phases, and now, I’m in the mentorship stage, learning, networking, and collaborating with brilliant entrepreneurs solving real-world problems through innovation and sustainability. To every young person in agribusiness: Don’t get buried in routine. Seek growth. Look for opportunities within your niche. Beyond funding, collaboration can multiply your impact, strengthen your value chain, and unlock new markets you never imagined. — © Ezekiel Olajumoke ✍️ #Agribusiness #YouthInAgriculture #InnovationAfrica #CircularEconomy #ClimateSmartAgriculture #NectarAgrosolutions #Sustainability #FarmToFuture #WasteToWealth #GreenEconomy #Entrepreneurship #Agritech

Dreams Don’t Die, They Evolve! 🐌 This week, a major media brand walked into our facility to cover a live interview on our CHASOFF innovation; a biopesticide born from snail shell waste. As I answered the first question, one truth echoed in my mind; sometimes failure is just innovation in disguise. Years ago, ants almost wiped out our farm. Today, that same crisis is the reason farmers across Nigeria have access to a natural pest solution from a rejected waste (snail shells). Read full story here: thecable.ng/spotlight-ezekie… To every young farmer, innovator, or entrepreneur out there; your dreams are valid. Even if you’ve tried and failed, you can rise again. Seek mentors, ask questions and lean on people who believe in your vision while you become accountable. Nigeria’s future depends on us, the youths (don't argue with me 😄!). We are the seeds of transformation and instead of running out, let’s build within. Let’s grow solutions here that can touch the world. A big thank you to @c_jennycee from @thecableng for such an interactive session and for championing this story. 💡 Lesson: Don’t abandon your dreams because they look small now, nurture them, and the world will notice. © Ezekiel Olajumoke ✍️ #YouthInAgriculture #AgribusinessLeadership #SnailValueChain #MadeInNigeria #InnovationEcosystem #NGsnails
