The Philippines may have banned offshore gaming, but it doesn’t mean that the people behind it, especially the Chinese, are no longer around.
Perhaps this is one negative result of the ban—an iteration, or rebirth, that was a lot worse.
Aside from scams, another concern that has emerged in the wake of the POGO ban is the so-called Philippine Inland Gaming Operators (PIGOs), which offer online gaming targeting players in the Philippines.
It’s ironic, said property consultant David Leechiu, that while the Philippines banned POGOs—which target overseas players—it allows PIGOs, which have, unfortunately, hooked Filipinos on online gambling. tinyurl.com/u88bex9t

AFP Chief visits wake of fallen PAF pilots, assured families of support
Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff General Antonio G. Nafarrete PA visited the wakes of the four Philippine Air Force (PAF) pilots who perished in an aircraft mishap during a training flight on October 23 at Fernando Air Base, Lipa City, Batangas.
General Nafarrete visited the wake of Major David Joshua Rojo, Captain Ma. Melvin Acebuque, and 1st Lieutenant Angeleo Adrian Penaflor at Fernando Air Base on October 26.
In the same day, General Nafarrete and other senior AFP leaders paid their last respects to Captain Raymart Cabangcala at Villamor Air Base in Pasay City.
The AFP Chief of Staff assured the families of the AFP's continuing support and assistance as they cope with the loss of their loved ones.
The AFP honors the courage, dedication, and sacrifice of the four PAF pilots and remains committed to supporting their families as the organization remembers their service to the nation.///
