Shocking poll results of the Shia community in Lebanon. If the survey was not conducted by a reputable company, Statistics Lebanon, I would have dismissed it because the results show a truly stunning collapse of support for Hezbollah among the Shia community. This collapse is an undeniable fact based on my conversations with Shia friends in Lebanon, following social media production by Shia (including videos and thousands of comments on popular Facebook pages for Shia communities), and the testimonies of Shia journalists and scholars. Still, the numbers are surprising.
The most shocking results:
- 42% of Shia feel disappointed, angry or worried about the conduct of the leadership of Hezbollah
- 37% trust in Hezbollah greatly, 22.4% trust to some extent, 23.6% do not trust Hezbollah much, 15% do not trust Hezbollah at all. Previously 85% expressed trust in Hezbollah
- 52% do not trust Hezbollah's social & service institutions (likely due to favoritism in distribution)
- 52.4% do not trust the media outlets affiliated with Hezbollah.
- Only 2% would prefer to send their children to schools run by Hezbollah (Mehdi and Mustafa schools)
- 42.3% believe Hezbollah has not achieved any of its goals and that the costs of the war were exceedingly high
25% believe Hezbollah achieved only part of its goals and the costs of the war were exceedingly high. A total of 67.4% put together.
14% say it's too early to tell
- 63.3% support a deal with Israel (either direct talks, through mediation, or a total regional agreement)
- 9% support a deal that will be sponsored by Iran
- 66.4% support handing over Hezbollah's weapons to the state
29.6% support preserving Hezbollah's weapons
- 51.1% see he Lebanese Army as the biggest contributor to guaranteeing security in the long run
16.5% see Hezbollah this way
- 71% Believe war & peace decisions should only be made by Lebanon's leadership
12% Support Hezbollah making its own decisions on these matters
- Only 5% believe using force is legitimate to express opposition to the government's position on disarming Hezbollah
- 80% see their Lebanese identity as more important than their sectarian or partisan affiliation

My followers are mostly very decent people.
So decent that I often get angry responses when I say that 7/10 is still ongoing, or that “Annihilate Israel” is a real thing.
A quick dip into Instagram will give you a sense of what my children’s generation sees on a daily basis.

Imagine lying about such a thing in an age of rampant Holocaust denial. Or being so careless with the truth and so lost in a performance you no longer even really know.

Operating in sector mode, Cyprus’s new Israeli ELM-2084 MMR radar establishes a 650 km shield, placing roughly 45% of Turkey under direct surveillance. If Greece adds Israeli ELM-2084 radars on Chios and Evros, the joint grid places roughly 65% of Turkey under direct tracking.

New Greek poll (MRB for OPEN, Sept 2026):
A majority of Greeks — 51.1% — support continuing military cooperation with Israel because it strengthens the country’s defense.
Only 30.3% want it scaled back.
Even among left-wing parties, support is not marginal — nearly 4 in 10 ELAS voters back the alliance.
Despite the noise, most Greeks still stand with the strategic partnership.

The Mecca Pact has been such a spectacular failure that Saudi Arabia is now groveling to Israel again after Pakistan and Turkey offered no support following the Houthi attacks.
Saudi Arabia overplayed its hand so massively and thought they could extort Israel into recognising Palestine but now has to humiliatingly beg Israel for assistance since Pakistan and Turkey are not lifting a finger.
Despite Mecca Pact- Saudi Arabia Seeks Israeli Help Against Houthis
Saudi Arabia has reportedly sought intelligence and other assistance from Israel to counter the Houthis and prevent them from blocking the Bab al-Mandab.
This development is ironic and highlights the hypocrisy of regional actors. Despite strong signals from Riyadh that it was moving toward the Abraham Accords axis in 2025, Saudi Arabia instead forged what many view as a counterweight alliance with Ankara and Islamabad, working closely with Doha as well - all rhetorically hostile to Israel.
The move comes as Riyadh faces growing threats to its oil export routes and limited willingness from Washington to intervene militarily, according to regional diplomatic sources.

Kastellorizo is not “580km from Greece.”
The island _is_ Greece.
And this account is a Turkish regime influence operation.
2 km from Türkiye. 580 km from Greece.
And yet it claims 40,000 km² of sea.
Kastellorizo — a tiny island right off the Turkish coast — is being used to cut off 1,577 km of Türkiye's Mediterranean coastline.
And, the 1947 Paris Treaty says it must stay demilitarized.
Today? Greek missile boats armed with Exocets patrol its waters.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Kastellorizo isn't 580km from Greece. It's is a Greek island, Greek territory.
