an absolute disgrace of a governor, no light in lagos but you’re attending a fashion walk
I stepped away from the usual business of governance to walk the runway for the incredibly talented Ugo Monye at Lagos Fashion Week. Lagos continues to grow as a home for fashion, creativity and culture and I am always happy to support the people driving this growth.

Afreximbank and APPO formally establish the Africa Energy Bank. Afreximbank and the African Petroleum Producers’ Organization (APPO) @AppoSecretariat announced the establishment of the Africa Energy Bank (AEB) at its inaugural General Meeting in Abuja on 31 October 2026, advancing Africa’s capacity to finance its energy development. With US$5 billion in authorised capital, AEB will support projects across the energy value chain, from exploration and production to transportation, processing, refining and distribution. Its mandate is to strengthen African participation in the sector, reduce dependence on imported petroleum products and expand intra-African energy trade. Operating as an independent, supranational pan-African financial institution, AEB will seek investment from governments, national oil companies, financial institutions and private investors. The meeting also appointed Mr Helmy Ghazi, as AEB’s inaugural President and established its first Board of Directors, bringing together representatives from the public and private sectors and leading policy institutions. #Afreximbank #AfricaEnergyBank #APPO #EnergySecurity

Bro, life expectancy in Nigeria I 55 years! Have you seen our obituaries lately? 44 years, 19 years, 57 years, but look at the people ruling us, all in their 70s. The system is deliberately rigged to kill us! Other countries in Africa have lifespans of almost 80 years. – at Lome, Ghana

A rule for handling high fatality infectious diseases like Ebola is ensuring confirmed patients have the least interaction with uninfected people, and are restricted from travelling distances. For medical experts and Government officials from both Nigeria and Switzerland to conclude on moving this one from Abuja, it means the 2025 Health Capital Budget of N218 billion which only N36 milion was released has started to show glaringly that our Federal Capital Territory cannot handle such a case. Seeing the Swiss Government choose to risk bringing the dreaded Ebola within its own borders rather trust the Nigerian health system, I'll advise any Nigerian who gets infected to just use their 100,000 Naira NCDC allowance in chattering Suya and Chivita to enjoy what's left of their lives. – at Lome, Ghana

48 out of 54 African nations participated in the Russia-Africa Summit 2026—despite intense Western pressure to boycott. This remarkable turnout sends an unmistakable message: Africa will no longer be dictated to. I hope the next Summit will be in Africa

Deliberately falsifying national voters register is a treasonable offence. It’s an intentional act to subvert the legitimacy thrust by the people. @inecnigeria must respond to this egregious activity and allow thorough public scrutiny.
In 2024, Governor Okpebholo's polling unit had 397 voters on the register. In 2026, it has 4,783. That's 4,386 new voters, a 1,105% increase. A Guinness World Record? @inecnigeria, please explain. 👀

Just last month, DoorDash couldn’t seem to find the money to pay their deliveristas — until our administration forced them to give back $131M+ in stolen wages and penalties. This week, they’ve managed to find $17 billion to acquire one of their main competitors. Corporate consolidation means higher prices, harsher exploitation, and greater economic inequality for New Yorkers. We’ve stood up to these giants before. That doesn’t stop now.

Corporate greed is Microsoft making $134 billion in profits last year, receiving $19 billion in tax breaks under Trump, paying a lower federal income tax rate than a nurse and getting rid of 60,000 workers. “Corporations will create jobs if they get tax breaks” is a total scam.
