The sister of Alex Pretti who was murdered by ICE says that if you want to honor Alex please go out and vote. Vote for Alex,Vote for Justice for his family,Vote for all the victims of ICE and Vote for your community and neighbors.
In keeping with my current interests, and pointing a direction in which I think the culture & country should be going, I tried to include a populist theme & vibe in this story.
Part satire? Too over-the-top? Ways to express ideas. . .

There's not another writer in America right now who'd even attempt a story like this one. Much less do it. No brag, just fact.
Only FICTION gets at deeper truths about something like the current hyperbolic election campaign, by going inside the heads of the main players, and behind the scenes of their maneuvers and manipulations.
PART TWO of "Midterm Madness" is now LIVE!

I DON'T KNOW if literary critics can be coaxed out of the fortified bunkers in which they've hidden-- until after the critical midterms-- in fear they may have to take a stance on something. But we can always make the attempt.

The Epstein crimes have evolved into a triad of evil criminality with Trump right in the middle of it all:
-Evidence of Trump committing multiple rapes with Epstein nearby.
-An international sex trafficking ring using modeling and beauty contests with Trump right in the middle of it.
3 A frantic cover-up by led by Todd Blanche to hide Trump’s sexual assault crimes, bury evidence, refuse to investigate and shut down state investigations.
An alternative to the four-hour movie! From last year, but more topical than ever. . .
Elon Musk is a classic Don Quixote type. He's read so many fantastic novels, esp sci-fi, he takes them for reality. Believes all the Asimov plotlines, himself at the center of the stories. Amusing until it becomes dangerous.
Here's my take on the guy.

Fines don't work against a $3.9 trillion dollar corporation unless you're suing them for $3.9 trillion dollars and then bankrupting their CEOs and corporate leadership. Fines will NEVER work against the billionaire class. Google does what it wants because it can.

During the January 6th attack on the nation's Capitol, Daniel Rodriguez drove a stun gun into the neck of Officer Mike Fanone. He was knocked unconscious, had a heart attack and suffered a traumatic brain injury. It ended his career.
Rodriguez got over 12 years in prison for his assault on police. On day one, Donald Trump gave him a "full, complete and unconditional pardon" and sent him home.
This is far and away the most corrupt White House in American history.
I can't speak about France, but we live at or near one of the epicenters of U.S. immigration-- including Islamic-- and we can testify the newcomers are not culturally incompatible. One of the points made in "Midterm Madness." Part II coming soon!

"So many culturally incompatible newcomers have piled on, in their telling, that society, properly speaking, is no more. What remains is an agglomeration of strangers, arrayed now in hostility, now in cold peace." @SohrabAhmari for @unherd on France.

HERE'S PROOF that we were writing about "the ultra-elite, VIP world of wealthy horse girls..." and the ever-widening wealth gap three years ago.
Are we always ahead of the curve? You know it! 😎

ALMOST EXACTLY one year ago we did a post on "Trump's New Ballroom." Not completed yet!
Fiction which is still relevant.

If only someone had foreseen that putting all our economic futures in the hands of an industry beset with thieves, grifters, con artists and robot-fetishising sociopaths might have a significant risk of going seriously wrong...
“a bursting AI bubble would be a much bigger shock to the economy than the bursting IT bubble at the end of the 1990s that brought us to the edge of a liquidity trap. Yet the Fed has much less room to cut rates now than it did then: the current Fed funds rate is only 4 percent. So if huge AI spending is a bubble, and that bubble bursts, I can’t see how the U.S. can avoid plunging into a liquidity trap — a situation in which the Fed simply lacks the tools to get us out of a slump. If this should happen, the economy is likely to remain depressed for years.”

The most critical U.S. midterm election ever, for the future & survival of this nation (with the exception of during the Civil War), and our established literary critics are MIA. Missing In Action.
