What if you could deliver molecular tools directly into oocytes without microinjection? In our new paper, online today @Dev_journal (doi.org/10.1242/dev.202857), we introduce VitelloTag, a new cargo delivery tool to enable injection-free genome editing. 👇Read on for a short 🧵

Chromatin scientists, want to reorganize genomic loci as you wish?
Out today in Cell--We made a tool that uses surface tension of engineered condensates to reposition DNA loci across microns of space in living cells in just a few minutes: VECTOR cell.com/cell/abstract/S0092…

A clever strategy for multiplexed immunolabeling out today from Peng Yin's lab. "Thermal-plex" uses DNA probes that fluoresce sequentially when, and only when, activated with transient exposure to heating spikes at designated temperatures. nature.com/articles/s41592-0…

How do distal enhancers control transcription dynamics in living cells? Check out our latest work published in @MolecularCell!! We show that the dynamic assembly and disassembly of TF clusters at enhancers are a major source of transcriptional bursting. cell.com/molecular-cell/full…

Delighted to share our latest work published in @NatureComms! We show that non-coding enhancer transcription can flexibly modulate the efficiency of burst induction from linked gene either negatively or positively by changing the size of transcription hub. nature.com/articles/s41467-0…
This study shows how ERF is a key maternal repressor of zygotic genome activation as well as how signaling pathways can act as developmental timers in the early embryos.
Thanks to my co-authors @emilychavs @ClaireJoWeaver Cliff Brangwynne and Mike Levine.
