Check out our new paper exploring differential responses to ethical vegetarian appeals, showing that the effectiveness of ethically-framed appeals to eat less meat might depend on the recipient's personality (preprint: 10.31234/osf.io/62k3w). 🧵1/6
We'd love to share interesting research of our group “Personality, Identity, and Crime”, so we joined Twitter! We’re focusing on individual differences in (un)ethicaland prosocial vs. antisocial behavior.

Excited to announce our latest research, published in SPPS! We found that people perceiving higher economic inequality are more likely to support structural climate policies over individual-level behaviour change. With @ @jetten_j 🌍 1/3

Had a lot of fun writing this small journal club article for @NatRevPsych about the original 'Flash Lag Effect' paper (Nijhawan, 1994).
Also a handy excuse to make my own demo!

Very happy to share that our experience sampling study examining the effects of animal-welfare-based appeals (vegetarian appeals) on meat consumption was recently accepted for publication at Appetite! Link to preprint: psyarxiv.com/cakfv/. Summary in 🧵 (1/5)
Our findings highlight the how difficult it is to change moral behaviour when examining outcomes beyond intentions. Although it is an open question whether the apparent gap we found between intentions and ESM-measured-behaviour could be closed over time. (5/5).
Finally, big shout out to my co-authors/super-supervisors @drbrockbastian @drsmillie for their help and guidance throughout this project (especially through the pandemic!💉).

Delighted that an article I wrote has been published in the International Journal of Evidence & Proof. In it I defend a controversial view of the presumption of innocence, namely that it is a true presumption, not a misnomer.
