What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work.
My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.

British-Nigerian footballer Bukayo Saka shared a really moving story about a 14-year-old Rwandan boy named Biringiro, whose sight got better after he received medical help through Saka’s charity work. 🇷🇼 🇳🇬
At the Ballon d’Or ceremony in London on October 26, 2026, Saka explained that the boy started losing his vision when he was 12, which made reading and going to school really hard for him.
Saka was given the 2026 Socrates Award for his charity efforts, which have also helped pay for life-changing surgeries for 120 children in Kano, Nigeria. Nigerian singer Burna Boy was the one who presented him with the award.
