On 29 November, @OxfordCity will debate a motion to stop greyhound racing returning to Oxford. If you live in Oxford, please contact your local councillor and urge them to vote to ensure it doesn't return to the city. @Lucy_1103 @peta #BanGreyhoundRacing #StopOxfordDogRacing

Henrietta Lacks, a black woman whose cells led to critical medical advances, has been memorialised in bronze. Her family attended the unveiling of the sculpture, created by Helen Wilson-Roe, to honour the 'mother' of modern medicine. bristol.ac.uk/news/2021/octo… #HELA100

One of the greatest things about dogs is they bring you into the now. You may be in a way that is sad, but a dog lives right now and a new smell, a fun movement or an activity brings out their joy. The science is resounding that their attitude helps a human one. #Dogs #Friday

One year ago, I protested outside Downing Street. I was six months’ pregnant, and working as a doctor on the frontline. 👩‍⚕️ Within hours, I knew my life would never be the same. THREAD:

Beyond words. There is no reasonable explanation for the way that these women were treated by the police, they were silently protesting for women everywhere and remembering Sarah. #TakeBacktheNight #SarahEverard #SheWasJustWalkingHome #TakeBackTheStreets

Beautiful! 🙌
A lone Purkinje cell (yellow) sitting in a sea of invisible Purkinje cells. I used a low titer GFP virus to label only a handful of cells in the cerebellum, allowing us to appreciate the beautiful and complex morphology of the cells.

We are flying with over 45 other balloons ascending from Ashton Court to do a fly past over Bristol as part of the Bristol Balloon Fiesta, which had to be cancelled this year. The location was kept secret until 4 am for even the balloon pilots to avoid any crowds are gathering.
