New for @49ersHub There's a lot of hype around the #49ers defense, and ✍️ Nate wrote exactly why that is in his debut article! Check it out! ⬇️⬇️⬇️ 49ershub.substack.com/p/why-… ✍️ @MidwestFaithful 📸 @mattfraser_9

Replying to @grantcohn
🥀 There’s gonna come a game where we trot out Demarcus Robinson, Jordan Watkins, & Christian Kirk and idk if i’m ready.
48
Hate him or love him, but @grantcohn is really good at his job. Argue with a wall.
33
Josh Downs fills what the Niners wanted Christian Kirk to be. Brian Thomas Jr. can step in and take the Mike Evans roll, putting Stribling in the Jennings “big body” slot roll. Calvin Ridley does nothing for me. #FTTB

Agent Drew Rosenhaus said he is now en route to the 49ers’ offices with Brandon Aiyuk to meet with team officials. Aiyuk also plans on releasing a statement today to the media.

If you need a quick pass into double coverage, Joe Milton can throw you a 90 mph fastball. If you need a layered throw over the linebacker, Joe Milton can throw you a 90 mph fastball.

If he got in front of the team and apologized sincerely, took all blame for his actions, and looked to play for the team, would you allow BA to stay @gkittle46
35
Make him play & audition for a chance on another team in the offseason 🤷🏽‍♂️ worst case he sucks and we cut him anyway, best case is he helps us win a bowl & might not want to leave after all. He has a real agent now. Someone telling him what he did was stupid. BA’s best shot at the league is staying with the 49ers.

It would be surprising to see Brandon Aiyuk sign anywhere after the 49ers likely release him. I do assume that applying for reinstatement might theoretically help him in any fight over recoupment of paid bonus money, etc
43
Keep him. Make him play the rest of this year to tryout for other teams. If it works, he’s still under contract. If it doesn’t, you can trade him in the offseason & get more than you would right now. We need an X, he was one of the top of the league, cmon.

Once Aiyuk reports to the team on Friday, The 49ers can’t turn him away: Their options will be to keep him, cut him or somehow find a trade 👀

or… dare i say.. keep him 😬

This is the first step in forcing the Niners into a transaction. Their preference all along was to trade him. That never materialized and seems unlikely to now. His release would be the next logical step barring a significant change.

Wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk has turned in paperwork to be reinstated, per his agent Drew Rosenhaus. Aiyuk, who currently is on San Francisco’s Reserve/Left Squad list, will be reporting to the 49ers’ training facility Friday afternoon, per Drew Rosenhaus. “Brandon is healthy and ready to get back on the field,” Rosenhaus said.
