Good Sunday morning fam, and welcome to Tommy’s Diner.
Coffee’s hot, and the tsunami appears to have spared the biscuits. ☕️ We’ve aged a full election cycle since Tuesday. But we still show up.
Pull up a chair. Tell me something good that happened this week. If you tell me you folded a fitted sheet, I’ll know you’re lying, but I’ll enjoy the story.
Anybody need a refill? 💜
I said BRR! It's cold in here!

Every time governments shut down businesses for a year and allows the printing if money, fast food prices go up as well as all other goods and services. And they never go back to what they were before!!

It's pretty windy today but the birds aren't bothered. Here's a few shots I just got of a Pee Wee looking for bugs in my yard.

No woman owes you attraction.
It doesn't matter what for.
She may not be into guys with money, she may not be into guys that are poor.
She may not be into guys who are super tall, or she may not be into guys who are super short.
She may not be into liberal men, or she might not be into conservative men.
Whatever a woman's preference is, the second you start attacking her for it and demanding she be attracted, you're no different than the weird, mentally ill, trans people demand you be attracted to them regardless of your actual sexual orientation.
All you're doing is showing that you're weak and want to control people, instead of actually wanting to form a connection with an individual.

Much love and good mojo needed! 👇
It’s been awhile since I’ve asked for prayers but I really, really could use some right now. Actually they aren’t for me but for my husband. He is going through an incredibly difficult time, he’s lost hope and the only path forward seems impossibly dark. If you pray, I humbly ask you to please offer up one for him. We need a miracle. Thank you in advance.

The sun slips beneath the clouds, the sailboats settle into the evening, and the water catches the last of the light. Another day surrenders to the night, while the island holds a thousand stories the sea has never forgotten.

I don’t think you’re understanding my point here.
“Human Rights”
ALWAYS refers to the United Nations based set of rights which were formalized in the 1948 UDHR.
In my opinion “Human Rights” are a trash framework of ideas that are irrelevant to anything because…
1. They are incoherent as they have no stable metaphysical basis… they are a patchwork of concepts & philosophies from around the world.
As evidenced by one of the main contributors Jacques Maritain famously saying: “Yes, we agree about the rights, but on condition no one asks us why.”
2. They contain many “positive rights” which are obligations put on the State to interfere & provide… which is the opposite of “negative rights” which are restrictions on government from interfering with our rights (this is what American rights are).
3. They are ANTITHETICAL to the system of rights we have in America. And the active conflation of the terms/concepts “Human Rights” with “American Constitutional rights” is undermining our rights as Americans because people are mashing together 2 sets of ideas which are completely incompatible. Pay attention to how many leftist politicians in the U.S. conflate these 2 systems of rights on purpose in order to advance their subversion…. Or take a look at the Human Rights Law in NY which (unconstitutionally) forces people to say trans people’s preferred pronouns or else refusal falls under harassment.
I know. I live in NY. It’s stupid.
———————————————
Now, you might not agree that something is or isn’t a right in a generic sense & that’s fair. But if you said, while standing in America, that free speech or the right to bear arms aren’t rights…. well this would be your opinion but it wouldn’t be an accurate statement describing rights in America.
In the same way, you can disagree that “Trans rights are Human Rights” or that “food is a Human Right” or “water is a Human Right” or that “education is a Human Right” and that would be an opinion I share with you… generically, that these aren’t rights… because they are not rights from the American POV… and yet they 100% are “Human Rights” as described in that framework. It is truthful & accurate to say so. Doesn’t mean I agree. It just is what it is.
Now regarding abortion… there isn’t a verbatim “right to abortion” in the UDHR or its family of international treaties… BUT it’s functionally been recognized as a right through contrived interpretations of a handful of UDHR articles select committees.
➡️As evidenced by the links I’ve already sent you.
Disagree all you want. I’m just here to spread awareness of what IS.
And Human Rights are what a good majority of people & countries outside of the U.S. operate under.

International courts.
International treaties.
International laws.
International rights.
For all humankind, since we’re all connected ≈ “Human Rights”
The UN has gained considerable influence in most nations.
The UN has 193 member states.
When foreigners talk about rights in general they’re usually referring to some derivation of UN based/infused “Human Rights”
They do not know or understand rights as we talk about them in the American tradition (negative rights, natural rights, inalienable & God-given)
And it’s not just slight differences, it’s a completely antithetical approach to rights!
Not just via current international treaties but also from waves of influence since 1948 UDHR which has formed the basis of many new constitutions & governing bodies.
Then there are the nations that seek to integrate the UDHR (Human Rights/international norms) into their legal system via reforms, amendments, etc…
Which has been happening at an accelerating rate.
Abroad & closer to home…
…take note of how many U.S. politicians explicitly use the term “Human Rights”
…pay attention to the ambiguity it affords them & how that might be useful to them & their goals.
…and don’t forget this quote:
“We agree about the rights but on condition no one asks us why.”
-Jacques Maritain
