Those who advocate Finlandization for Ukraine don’t know what they are talking about.
First, it is impossible because Moscow wants to destroy the Ukrainian state and eradicate Ukrainian identity.
Second, no sovereign country should be forced to compromise its sovereignty in the way Finland was forced to during the Cold War.
We should have come further by 2026 than making excuses for imperialist oppression.

It’s bizarre that Russia, a country supposedly bound by the Geneva Conventions and expected to uphold international humanitarian law remains a permanent member of the UN Security Council after committing atrocity after atrocity, even attacking UN humanitarian convoys.
At some point, you have to ask what these institutions and protections actually mean if one of the countries entrusted with enforcing them can violate them with near impunity.

What you get out of Fetterman is the same thing I got out of my congressional representative, bizarre unconditional support of Israel and their genocide.
What becomes crystal clear is that these politicians don't work for America or Americans, they work for Israel.
Fetterman doesn't care what Stewart or the viewers think of his answers. He only cares what his AIPAC babysitter thinks of his answers.

Kudos to @jonstewart . Fetterman melts under the slightest critical questioning. But he’s such a reliable quote machine in the Capitol hallways that reporters just tee him up with softballs and print whatever he says, with no follow ups, because it’s great for clicks.
