Really disappointing to see the @bcndp so enthusiastically supporting private schools. Where are your values? #bcpoli

Tom Muclair and many politicians are calling Danielle Smith a liar & a culprit of Separation: Alberta Premier Danielle Smith is like the arsonist who tries to play the hero because they helped put out the flames of a fire that they started. She set things in motion towards the potential breakup of Canada, then fought against her own referendum question. She doesn't deserve any credit. That goes to the good people of Alberta, who expressed their strong attachment to Canada in the clearest possible terms. With Smith’s alignment with Trump and her chumminess with so many Separatists, it’s hard to believe that her personal intentions weren’t to have Alberta separate. ctvnews.ca/politics/article/…

Anti-immigrant sentiment in Alberta has hit a majority, and that province is hardly an outlier. That's what happens when we fail to blame a lack of planning and instead blame people who are just trying to find a place to live securely. My latest ... noraloreto.substack.com/p/th…

This is so bad faith and dishonest that it causes physical pain in my body.
Danielle Smith throws Forever Canada under the bus, blaming them for the referendum: "If somebody doesn't want to put a vote forward, then they shouldn't start a petition campaign. If they're going to do that, then they have to understand that there are consequences to it."

Fun fact: Even with Eby's proposed tax increase for "the wealthy", BC taxes on those earning over $400,000 a year will remain the 3rd lowest in Canada and 2nd lowest on annual incomes of $25,000. #bcpoli

Leaked B.C. Conservative letter to lawyers, private insurers with party agenda for auto insurance, should put Lorne Doerkson on defensive. What else is he planning that he's sharing with insiders without telling the public?

Rassembly of the disassembled BC Conservative Party offers little confidence that it is ready to govern. Let them manage their own party with cohesion and discipline. Only then can they credibly claim to be prepared to govern an entire province. in-sights.ca/2026/09/30/no-u…

Except if labour exercises the right to strike effectively. Then Liberals will shut it down. Workers’ rights shouldn’t be respected only when it’s convenient.
“We are 100% behind the right to strike,” insists Leslie Church, parliamentary secretary to the jobs minister, despite union criticism that Bill C-39 will do the opposite and impede their members right to strike.

The life and times of Peter Milobar: Left BC United, joined BC Conservatives, ran for leader of Conservatives, finished last, quit the Conservatives, dismissed CentreBC, then joined it and became leader, quit CentreBC after 4 days and re-joined the Conservatives. Okay. #bcpoli

The real nature of this government is starting to appear. The Liberals are planning to undermine collective bargaining by eliminating workers’ constitutional right to strike. Workers build this country, and they deserve fair and safe workplaces.

Veteran municipal @fabulavancouver reporter, now running for @OneCityVan, says she's been "shocked at how Ken Sim and the ABC have campaigned and governed in a way to divide people in Vancouver." My comment: Sim ran last time on unifying the city. Not this time. Nasty. #vanpoli

He's basically saying workers have too many rights, and it makes investors mad
Steven MacKinnon on 'modernizing' labour relations: "We do have too many conflicts, lockouts and strikes, or threats of either of those in the country. It harms investment, harms employment, maybe even particularly in unionized environments. So we need a better framework for getting to agreements between employers and their employees."
