An honor to share Papa Moose’s story:
..as fireworks light up the skies over our towns, our children will watch the sky in awe…the same type of awe I felt as I watched those F-35’s streak the sky. The same skies that Moose and Joe once commanded.

It’s incredible that portions of this are already ‘outdated’ a year later.
But given the momentum around nuclear energy & SMR’s it is worth a repost.

Reduce injuries. Enhance efficiency. Retrain & retool for better jobs.
The robots aren't replacing the worker. They're taking the part of the job that destroys your body.
Ariyan Kabir joined Debjit Mukerji of Deep Tech Unleashed to talk about what GrayMatter Robotics is building, why 30 million square feet of surface area is just the beginning, and what manufacturing resilience actually looks like when physical AI is doing the heavy lifting.

If Wisconsin wants to attract data centers and minimize water impacts, the solution isn’t to chase away investment. It’s to build more generation, modernize the grid and diversify power sources. In other words: Do the hard work of abundance instead of the easy work of saying no. @BryceTheNoble @CapTimes

“That’s what we want to find out, not just from the legacy builders that have been here for decades, but this new generation, the younger group of creators and innovators. We need to know what they’re looking for when it comes to scale and expanding their businesses.”
Thanks to Shereen at @WPR for having us on Morning Edition to talk tourism, forestry, manufacturing & why WI has many advantages.
“We have to look at which states are securing more of these new opportunities and investment and learn why it’s happening.”

Residential gas bills across the country are up ~4× inflation, despite flat or falling consumption.
It's not intuitive, and utilities have no incentive to explain it to their customers. In the coming weeks we'll be releasing a set of state primers, starting today with Mass. 🧵

Machines are the sacred tools of Reindustrialization.
Neglect shows a lack of seriousness.
We must do better.
Biggest complaint… serious gap in skilled talent.
Higher Ed is producing engineers who have no idea how to manufacture the items they design.
Is this neglect or lack of knowledge?
The following makes me both sad and ANGRY… sent by one of my alumni attending a university second year of mechanical engineering taking a DFM class.
This is not a random dirty shop, this is from an expensive university.
Now I realize there are many reasons for a shop to be in disrepair.

It’s crazy that China buys cheap U.S. LNG & then resells at higher prices when supply drops so it can push its profits into adv energy tech & global south investment
but we take 29 yrs to approve mines, riddle our energy infrastructure w/ red tape, & just accept high costs.
