Former Valve dev Chet Faliszek has fired back at Epic CEO Tim Sweeney over his latest attacks on Steam.
Sweeney claims Valve is holding PC gaming back and criticizes Steamโs AI disclosure rules.
Faliszek argues that these disclosures help players make informed decisions:
โYouโre just treating players like theyโre stupid.โ
He also points out that Epicโs own Fab marketplace uses AI disclosures.
And his response to Sweeney? Put Alan Wake 2 on Steam if youโre really that pro-consumer.

^ New frivolous community note incoming. Correct, Valve doesn't kidnap you and force you to use Steamworks. You can use your own account and social solution, start from zero, and try to grow amidst review bombings pressuring the developer to adopt Steamworks and be locked in.
