Matlock Town are pleased to announce the signing of 26-year-old striker Montel Gibson from Hereford FC for an undisclosed fee.
Montel joined Notts County, aged 18, from where he would spend time on loan at Romulus, Hednesford Town, and Sutton Coldfield Town. He would return to League 2 in 2020 with a move to Grimsby Town under manager, Ian Holloway, that after productive spells at the likes of Ilkeston Town and Halesowen Town.
More recently, Montel has played for AFC Telford United, helping them to reach the play-off final against Leamington, finishing the Bucks' top scorer, and earning a move to Hereford FC this summer
An all-or-nothing character with the quality to match, Montel's addition can be seen as a real coup and show of ambition.

According to @SportsPeteO Notts County are close to signing Jacob Bedeau on a free deal.
Such a consistent performer last year. A brilliant left sided centre back, who can really add some pace and efficiency to Countyโs back line.

Currently with Morecambe, Jacob has emerged as one of the most consistent players in League Two having played 43 games this season.
Still just 24, he also has the potential to get better and develop in the future.
Having rejected previous offers, Morecambe will find it hard to keep their man, with a new contract yet to be signed at the club.
The perfect chance to snap him up, this Summer.
