Came back from military training in South Carolina with a couple of days off, and my three-year-old daughter had one thing on her mind: go take photos of airplanes with Dad.
So, we headed up to the base, cameras in hand, and ended up getting incredibly lucky.
Here it is, Canada’s first F-35A taking to the skies over Texas. 🇨🇦🇺🇸
Canada is now the next country to enter the fifth-generation fighter world, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the @RCAF_ARC and its transition to the F-35.
Pretty special way to spend a day off with my favorite little spotter. ❤️✈️
As always all my photos are free and I will add the Google Drive soon.

Statement from the president of the Parliamentary Press Gallery, on Prime Minister Mark Carney’s trip to Egypt
The Parliamentary Press Gallery was not informed in advance of the Prime Minister’s trip to Egypt to participate in the Middle East Peace Ceremony on Oct. 12 - 13.
The Gallery is disappointed and dismayed at the exclusion of Canadian media from the event and expresses in no uncertain terms that this must never happen again.
It is unprecedented that Canadian media be entirely excluded from a Canadian prime minister’s foreign trip.
Our members bring trustworthy and reliable news coverage free from any political interference to Canadians every day and play a critical role in holding government's accountable to the people that elect them.
Every government, in a healthy democracy, must show a commitment to freedom of the press. In Canada, that includes respect for the vital role the Gallery and its members play. Any event that erodes access, transparency and accountability is a step in the wrong direction.

8 PM EDT Sat, Aug. 2: We're now monitoring 2 systems in the Atlantic, each with a low chance of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 7 days:
1. A frontal low off the coast of NC could acquire some tropical or subtropical characteristics through Monday.
2. A tropical wave will move off the coast of Africa during the next day or two, and some development is possible over the central Atlantic later in the week.
