I am a very private person and rarely share personal details. But today, I want to share something.
Those close to me know that I have been very ill over the past two years. I have had to postpone my own book launch repeatedly, step back from interviews and struggle to keep up with writing deadlines.
It has been an extraordinarily difficult time. There were days when even writing felt like an uphill battle.
Today, I had a breakthrough. I completed the first draft of a book that will be published early to mid-next year. It is difficult to describe what this milestone means to me.
I express my heartfelt gratitude to those who stood by me, encouraged me and supported me through some of the darkest and most difficult days.
Life teaches us many things, but one lesson is worth remembering: always be kind. You never know what someone is going through behind closed doors.
Here’s to healing, resilience, new beginnings and brighter days ahead. 🌻🌻🌻

Ours is a story of struggle, sacrifice, progress and lessons still to be learnt. As we celebrate how far we’ve come, we look ahead to the work that remains. Democracy gives every eligible voter a voice in shaping their community’s future. So, let’s come to the table, celebrate our progress, ask the hard questions and make our voices heard. Because our future starts with us. Let’s continue building better communities together.
