Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-WA) says consumer groups and retailers are announcing today support for her bipartisan legislation with GOP Sen. Chuck Grassley to restore congressional authority over tariffs.
Cantwell goes on to say the support includes "organizations who know their bread and butter comes from consumer spending, which is a big part of our economy," adding, "They are very anxious about a plan."
