📊 The 2026 Fiscal Performance Ranking is officially out. If your state governor spends more time on TikTok or flying to Abuja for FAAC meetings than building a local economy, this new table is about to expose them. Look at the table carefully. No be by “cho cho cho” 👑 Lagos Holds the #1 Spot: Lagos State stays at the very top of the country as the absolute champion of fiscal performance. With its massive local economy, it remains the state to beat. 🔥 Enugu's Big Showing (2): Governor Peter Mbah's Enugu takes the second spot nationally, recording an impressive 125% growth in Internally Generated Revenue (IGR). 🌟 The Northern Underdogs: Look at Kebbi (5), Jigawa (6), and Katsina (7) outperforming giant states like Oyo (22) and Ogun (31). They have smaller budgets, but they are managing their money way better than states with massive industries. 🚨 The Bottom Crew: At the very bottom, Osun (32), Kogi (33), Plateau (34), and Cross River (35) are in complete fiscal emergency. If your governor is on this list, they are basically running your state on pure vibes and debt. ❌ The Rivers State Disqualification: You will only count 35 states on the table. Rivers State has been completely thrown out of the ranking this year. No audited financial accounts, no budget report, zero transparency—so they get zero ranking. Dear Nigerians, is your state capital building a real economy, or is your Governor just waiting for the next FAAC allocation to pay salaries? Look at the numbers, tag your state government, and ask them hard questions! The subnational competition is just getting started. 🔗 Head over to budgit.org right now to download the full 2026 State of States Report. #StateofStates2026 #GetInvolved #AskQuestions
