I just had my @bot design a pipeline and skill to reach out to Libby and Project Gutenberg to pull down ebooks related to subjects it needs to create skills for. I don’t know if I’m bot pilled or some sort of bot skeuomorphism, it has this stuff in training data.. so.. ??

The worst part about Jev is explaining what Jev is to a bot every time I want to use a decision model like Jev because every training cutoff is prior to Jev. (yes I have the skill) Super useful in any type of workflow. I want one that supports audio.

HDD prices are rough these days, so I'm glad I have @bot around to reencode my files and save space Tdarr was good, but I got to the point where it would just loop on trying to reencode files that would fail - Bot is getting it done and finding dupes too. (Thanks @FFmpeg)

Solar power is 89% cheaper than in 2010. Even running 24/7 on batteries, solar emits about 90% less carbon over its lifetime than coal. And batteries are 93% cheaper than in 2010. Wind and solar are now the cheapest new electricity on Earth. What do you think the future is?

I needed to make some network changes on my Unifi network, so I did what anyone would do: have my bot make the necessary changes to the Unifi network MCP to accomplish it and file a PR. Now my bot monitors and makes changes to my network proactively. github.com/owine/unifi-netwo…

Damn. Grok listened to me, but OpenAI didn't ><
Grok Bot is now one step closer. Set it as your iPhone's Action Button and press it to talk with Bot.

A @bot superpower is to have it connect to your tailnet and manage your local headless machines - fixing your mounts, updating periodically, etc

My biggest "hack" for Grok @bot productivity on software projects is to hook it up to something like Linear for storing documents and work items (they have free accounts). Google drive could probably work for basic things, too. This unlocks the ability for you and your bots to truly collaborate on projects. Have an app idea? Speak to your bot with your voice in natural language for a few minutes, telling it what you envision. Tell it to organize your thoughts into a requirements document in Linear and append a list of open questions at the end that it needs more clarity on. Then review the document, make your additions/corrections, and add your answers to the questions at the end. Tell the bot to read your updates and organize things again. Rinse and repeat. It might sound slow, but this will save you hours of work instead of just telling it to make something, then going back and forth with "No, that's not really what I wanted." With any project, you can't skip the step of establishing clear requirements. Linear makes this really simple and intuitive. The other benefit is that weeks down the road, when you have a bot implement a new feature, it has a list of other requirements it must follow instead of whatever's in its (murky) memory. I've been building with this workflow and it's been a ton of fun. More upfront work, yes... but once you finally tell it "OK, now go create my website/app/thing", it hits the mark and is exciting to see.
