💥 OHIO'S EARLY VOTE is final. Today, the rest of Ohio votes.
1,753,509 early ballots, 19% more than Ohio’s entire 2022 early vote.
Independents: 47.6%
Democrats: 27.1%
Republicans: 25.2%
Independents finished about 358,000 ballots ahead of Democrats and 393,000 ahead of Republicans. They’re a majority of early voters in 11 counties, including Franklin, Hamilton, Summit, Lucas, Montgomery and Delaware. For the last five days of early voting, they cast a majority of all in-person ballots.
The parties’ story is closer. Republicans won every day of the final week and cut the Democratic lead to about 34,700. Using the same labels for both years, the early vote is still about 7 points more Democratic than 2024’s.
