I was talking to a guy who runs one of the job boards. I made suggestions about changes that coaches suggested, I’ll never forget his response:

As the season winds down, we need nominations for the Marcia Zierlein coach of the year award. This will be handed out at the Lonestar Coaches clinic in Waco June 11th and 12th.
The coach does not have to be from Texas, but does need to demonstrate the values listed on the site.

As the season winds down, and Coaches as well begin losing their jobs. Before cheering for your favorite team to farther Coach consider something gets lost in those discussions.
People forget one man is not losing his job, instead it is a whole staff individuals who will likely need a new place of employment but each of them knew that was part of the job when they signed up
Then you have the wife who knew that was part of this relationship, but still held the family together all season long and now has to leave her job, and the community that she formed
And then there’s the kids of each of the staff members. They did not choose to be born into a family, where dad is a coach, and where they are forced to leave their friends, their school, their youth group, and their extracurricular activities and have to start all over again.
