Is it really though? The Cheesecake Factory isn’t cheap takeout, sure. But “very nice and fancy” is a massive stretch.
Does Obama not understand that to most Americans the Cheesecake Factory is a very nice and fancy restaurant?

Just horrific 👇 Regardless of the party affiliation of those you vote for this midterm, vote for representatives who oppose wars of conquest and who care about human decency. #StandWithUkraine
President Trump’s decision to waive sanctions against Russia as Putin continues his brutal war of aggression against Ukraine dishonors the legacy of the late Senator Lindsey Graham and is decidedly not in the national interests of the United States and should be reversed. Putin is a war criminal and only understands strength. Waiving Graham Act sanctions on Russia signals weakness at a moment that demands American strength. Now is the time to stand strong against Russian aggression, just as we did during the years of the first Trump Administration. A victory in Ukraine would be a victory for freedom and is squarely in the national interests of the United States. If Putin overruns Ukraine, I have no doubt it will only be a matter of time until Russia’s military crosses a border that our troops will have to deal with him. For the cause of freedom, for America’s national security and that of our allies including Ukraine, President Trump should Restore sanctions under the Graham Act immediately, Rescind the diesel deal with Russia and Rally our Allies to ensure Ukraine has the military support it needs to repel and defeat this Russian invasion once and for all. Perhaps the worst way a game has ended in Washington franchise history. And that’s really saying something.
The Commanders can't get the play off in time and this game ends in a tie

Completely agree! 👇 Morality is a subjective judgement. Which is exactly why it’s important for moral influencers, such as the Pope, to use their voice to articulate the reasons for their judgements. This is how, over time, others are persuaded. #NoDeathPenalty
The death penalty is inadmissible because it is an attack on the inviolability and dignity of the person. The common good can be safeguarded and the requirements of justice can be met without recourse to capital punishment: effective systems of detention have been developed that protect citizens while at the same time do not completely deprive those who are guilty of the possibility of redemption. #NoDeathPenalty

This seems equally as atrocious as it is unsurprising 👇 If we don’t get our hands around the negative impacts of AI soon, they will dwarf the positive impacts AI can bring.
BREAKING: Iranian operatives used OpenAI models and fake personas to help plant news articles critical of the US war against Iran in multiple US media outlets, OpenAI has said.

Great, interview! I don’t always agree with @maklelan. But I always find him thoughtful and informed, with an impressive ability to distinguish facts from his own opinions👇

Very hard to believe that Michigan is closer than Kansas or Nebraska. Which doesn’t make it impossible. But does make me skeptical of these polling results 👇

Good rule of thumb: Whenever you see a claim in the form of “X group refuses to answer a question because if they did they’d conclude they are wrong ” — that claim is almost always both false and made by a closed mind. This one, for example👇
Most atheists refuse to answer the question, because if they start really thinking about the answer they will conclude that their atheist position is wrong

As if to illustrate what actual avoidance looks like, we have @KTHehir responding to this thread but when closing their reply to comments.

Africa is NOT the only continent without a permanent Security Council seat👇 (S America & Oceania don’t have one either). But they really should have one. So should Brazil and India. And Russia should lose theirs. Better yet, the whole Security Council should be re-thought.
A powerful speech: he spoke for the whole of Africa. Well done Ruto 🔥

And 90% of those people are probably right — Russia is not the enemy👇 But for anyone who supports freedom asks opposes wars of conquest, Putin is the enemy.

Politics is important & interesting. But it doesn’t extend to everything. There were many relevant ways Jaxon Dart could have been described here👇. “Giants quarterback.” “Promising quarterback.”Etc. Instead, needlessly & randomly, he picked “MAGA quarterback.”
This was a brutal hit on MAGA quarterback Jaxon Dart! I hope it's not a serious injury!

Before asking a question about the beliefs of others, perhaps you should understand what those beliefs are. Atheists don’t believe there is a creator with a morality. So they can’t possibly believe they are the moral equivalent to a non-existent entity.
Replying to @UgoCannon
Question for atheists. Why do you think you are the moral equivalent of the creator

One poll doesn’t mean much, but the absurdity that is President Trump might finally be filtering down to his party:

2/ Obviously there is much we don’t have free will over. Eg If I jump up I don’t free will to decide whether gravity pulls me back down. Because I’m NOT an all powerful God. So my argument, which you keep ignoring in favor of your strawmen, is very simple and is this…

3/ For me to have free will in a situation where there’s a choice between doing X or Y, my will has to be what determines if I do X or Y. If prior to my will choosing it is inevitable that I’ll do X — for any reason — then I cannot possibly have free will over that choice!

While wanting everyone to get the help that they need and not wanting over-regulation to get in the way of that, this seems reasonable 👇
