@FNFreiheit, honoring Iran's struggle is commendable. But choosing Pahlavi is a mistake: a man who has never earned a mandate from Iranians. We're one of 306 associations urging you to reconsider. Iran's freedom belongs to its people, not to a crown. @fdp @AussenMinDE #No2Pahlavi
306 Iranian associations from Europe, North America and Australia have addressed an open letter to @FNFreiheit & @fdp leaders, condemning their decision to award 2026 Freedom Award for the People of Iran to Reza Pahlavi, son of Iran’s former dictator. #No2Pahlavi 1/4

It is 3:30 PM on Monday, October 12th in Colombia, which means it’s midnight in Iran and Tuesday, October 13th has just begun. I have just finished my last meal, as my 24-hour hunger strike starts now.
I join #NoToExecutionTuesdays in solidarity with the brave people of Iran.

On September 22, 2026, Iran regime agents and Pahlavi thugs attempted to derail the rally by thousands of Iranian Americans who had gathered in NYC to condemn political executions in Iran. One of them is now changed on 5 injury and assault charges.

Fair minds can decide. The reality is that Neither IRGC operatives like this one in NY nor the rest of Pahlavi operatives who nest them will prevent Iran from true freedom. #

🛑Stop rewriting Iran’s history.
🦁☀️ The Lion and Sun is an Iranian national symbol not a Pahlavi trademark.
Iran belongs to its people, not to a dynasty. The struggle today is not to restore one past dictatorship, but to end dictatorship and establish a free, democratic, secular republic.

🚨 FORMER IRANIAN POLITICAL PRISONER: “I WENT INTO PRISON A NAIVE GIRL AND CAME OUT A GROWN WOMAN”
@HomeiraHesami says she was just a teenager researching history with friends when Iran’s regime accused her of ties to the opposition, arrested her and placed her in solitary confinement for a month.
She was eventually released after authorities could not prove a case against her, but says friends of hers spent years behind bars and were tortured.
“I saw a lot of brutality in prison.”
And Hesami says the repression she experienced decades ago continues today - but argues arrests and executions aren't silencing Iranians:
“People are actually understanding who are the players on the ground, and they are joining the forces that can actually do something.”

The Iranian diaspora protest on behalf of their captive brethren inside Iran. They want the same thing: Freedom, and the collapse of this evil regime.
Thousands of people gathered outside the United Nations in New York to protest Iran’s government as President Masoud Pezeshkian addressed the General Assembly. Demonstrators called for an end to the current regime, while some American Iranian protesters with personal ties to Iran said they want Iranians to have the freedom to decide how they live, practice religion and govern themselves. @JaredOchacher reports.

Our deepest gratitude to Lord @DavidAltonHL for his outstanding leadership of Parliament’s Joint Committee on Human Rights. A true champion of human rights, he has been a powerful voice of conscience, justice & hope for the oppressed in #Iran & across the world.
His lifelong courage, integrity & tireless commitment to freedom, justice & human dignity deserve our profound respect & appreciation.
Even while recovering from a serious accident, his determination to defend victims of oppression & injustice never wavered.
For the people of Iran—particularly the courageous women & young people who have faced brutal repression, arbitrary arrest, torture & execution under a religious dictatorship that commits atrocities while abusing religion & the name of God—Lord Alton has consistently stood on the side of the victims.
He has been a powerful voice for accountability & justice for those killed during successive uprisings in Iran, including the January 2026 uprising, as well as for the tens of thousands subjected to imprisonment, torture & other grave abuses.
The #Iranian communities in the #UK, the families of victims, political prisoners, representatives & supporters of the #Iranian Resistance around the world deeply appreciate & will remember his principled & invaluable service.
We sincerely hope that, as Lord Alton himself has urged, the Government will now give urgent consideration to the Committee’s report, conclusions & recommendations and translate them into concrete actions—including advancing universal jurisdiction so that perpetrators of genocide, crimes against humanity & other grave international crimes cannot escape justice.
Lord Alton, thank you for your lifelong services & unwavering commitment to justice, freedom & human dignity.
You have truly been a champion of human rights & a voice for thousands of victims in #IranMassacre & many others across the world.
Your courage, integrity & moral leadership have inspired generations. We are deeply grateful for all that you have done & continue to do.
Wishing you every success, good health and happiness in the years ahead.

Speaking to thousands outside the UN, I said it plainly: the MEK is the organization the ayatollahs & IRGC fear most. Under Maryam Rajavi, the MEK and NCRI can provide the provisional gov for a transition to real deomcracy in Iran. The time has come to bet on the people of Iran.
