All this as a roundabout way of finally answering your question: I’m leaning towards all line-in/direct injection nodes requiring an APRS cable. I will test with USB-C but I don’t *think* it will work. I’ll give it a go on layer 3 but I’m pretty sure it’s out for standard (cont)

for the first four layers, it’s just a matter of getting the UI completely locked down and stable. The immediate goal is to, unlike Rattlegram, actually work, and, unlike ANDFLMSG, not be fat bloated pig with 600 worthless modes that aren’t optimized for VULOS. (cont)

the plan is to expand to offline mapping, and adding lightweight CoT-type functionality.
Potentially adding a dummy-proof image resampler/down sampler for sending images over VULOS, and native resolutions over layer/stacks 4 and 5. The skeleton already exists internally (cont)

AES overlay to the packages. The plan is to incrementally step through each layer.
1) Analog/Acoustic
2) Analog Line-In
3) DMR Line-in (challenging due to the AMBE vocoder
4) IP/WiFi/Stalink
5) LoRa/Meshtastic
Depending on how much suffering I can handle (cont)

Negative. I’ve just as of today gotten the system completely stabilized. Tweaked the UI because the Android system level keyboard gobbled up half the screen real estate. Immediate goal is to ensure the acoustic modem is fully functional. After that, adding the selectable (cont)

Should have a beta ready for testing in the next couple of weeks. Even if only for analog/acoustic input/output. I want to get the basic forms locked down and the base modem fully functional before I let it go out. Then I’ll burn through the rest of the stack and add features.
Delay on adding the fifth stack. Today’s build disengaged the system keyboard, which was interfering with the fillable reports. Created internal keyboard, locked the boot sequence down and stabilized the interface instead. A lot of debugging but the current build is rock solid.

What everyone in the replies should realize is that in 50 years, the prequels will be what is discussed in art classes and circles, not the OT.
This is true RIGHT NOW. The prequels have 10X the cultural penetration in the internet age. It will only get more drastic with time filtering.
The complaints will be studied as well as an attempt to understand the minds of yore, like Twain taking down James Fenimore Cooper.
The cringy romance will be understood straight because the context of what "cringe" is will be forgotten, as will what the standards for convincing acting were in the early 2000s. More technical criticisms will mostly be viewed from a historical perspective - that some viewers of the time expected certain structures from films.
The OT will be viewed as an important transitional work, while the sequels will be mostly a footnote, good fodder for a student essay on corporate decline but not much artistic interest.
You may gnash your teeth as you remember for the billionth time how much you enjoyed ESB on VHS on your shag carpet living room on your CRT, eating sugary cereal while your divorced mom ignored you, but those feelings will be filtered out by time once you are gone.
The future will belong to Lucas's capstone work, the prequels, because the present belongs to them as well.

I never said he was evil, I said he was a midwit.
Back-to-back generations of people uncomfortable with sincerity and earnestness; completely superficial and pathologically self-conscious. Their sophomoric irony culture rotted them to their very core. Future sociologists will study this and provide a coherent explanation.

The Star Wars Prequels are cinematic masterpieces and I really don't care what miserable curmudgeons think about them. I'm sorry that the storytelling was too intelligent for you and there weren't enough superweapons being blown up by hekkin' rebels.
Growing up as an OT guy, when the prequels dropped, the takeaway is that the BBY era, like our own, was but a shadow of the high-culture that came before it.
We didn’t know that the OT was actually post-apocalyptic, and fallen, until the prequels.
Culturemogged/10.

Only gay retard dork boomers who pull their socks up and tuck their shirts in and wear New Balance shoes thought this was bad.
Every kid who grew up watching the prequels thought they were cool as fuck and WAY fucking cooler than the original trilogy.
Do you know how many Lego sets they had?
Unquestionably.
Literally Homeric in its long-term cultural implications.
Anyone arguing the contrary is revealing themselves to be grotesquely unsophisticated, spiritually uncomfortable, Reddit-level slopsuckers.
