“NO DOGS / PET ALLOWED” — B-2 PARK VIEW APARTMENTS, VASANT KUNJ These notices have been placed at three locations within the society, raising serious questions about who authorised them and under what authority. Who issued this notice? THIS IS ILLEGAL? And who has taken the decision to deny these dogs access to food? This is a DDA colony where community dogs have coexisted peacefully with residents for years. Despite this, a blanket prohibition has now been issued, and the new RWA leadership is also restricting their feeding. RWA General Secretary Narendra Meena — +91 98108 082410 — oversees the RWA at B-2 Park View Apartments. I have been feeding and taking care of these dogs for over a decade. Earlier, the gates were briefly opened during feeding time so that dogs could come in, eat, and return to their usual spots. A few elderly and very timid dogs who could not step out were fed inside. Now, however, the gates are being kept shut at feeding time. The dogs are unable to come out to eat, and we are being prevented from feeding them. At the same time, no regular feeder is permitted to feed dogs inside the colony too. The idea is to get rid of the community dogs. Really !!! These animals are vulnerable, and this sudden restriction places their safety and wellbeing at serious risk.
