Danny Tommo in jail. Tommy Robinson just found guilty, facing years in prison. James Harvey facing a trial/prison next month. Ashlea Simon being arrested and raided by police. I am on trial in 2 weeks time. It seems that Labour has taken the gloves off. Full Communist Britain!

NEW Why did a judge impose a community sentence on a 14-year-old boy who stabbed a girl ten times in a terrifying, premeditated attack? Footage shows him chasing her around a store in Cirencester, where he also stabbed a shopkeeper. Finally, after 5 weeks, I’ve been sent transcripts of the court proceedings. * It’s clear the judge’s priority was the boy’s “rehabilitation” & managing future risk. * The judge did not appear to consider the need for deterrence or punishment. * The judge was “deeply unhappy…astonished” the boy had been held in a secure children’s unit for 3 months after admitting guilt & released him on bail. * When bailed the boy did not return home until early hours when meant to be under curfew & so couldn’t be tagged straight away * A youth offending team officer expressed concerns about the eventual sentence - a referral order - because it doesn’t include tagging/curfew requirements * Court heard about boy’s interest in disturbing films, his unpredictability & how he “craved” custody All in all, what emerges is a far from satisfactory sentencing process, containing some rather flippant remarks from a judge who appeared determined to avoid imposing custody from the outset. We havent seen anywhere near what drones can be capable of when fully integrated with AI yet
WATCH: A drone chases a running person through a dense forest with no GPS, no internet, and no human steering it. The drone flies about 2 meters off the ground at jogging speed, builds a 3D map of the trees as it goes, and guesses where the person is headed when trees block its view. Everything runs on board the drone itself. Purdue’s IDEAS Lab built the hardware, but the software leans on open-source tools, mostly from the University of Hong Kong, so it isn’t entirely made from scratch. The same lab also has a separate $1.5 million Army research deal for robots that work without GPS.

I have read some suggestions that police officers who take their own lives while under investigation do so because they “cannot face up to their guilt”. That is an extraordinarily simplistic and dangerous assumption. It also betrays a profound lack of understanding of just how punitive, protracted and opaque the process of holding police officers to account has become. I have worked in Policing Professional Standards. I believe absolutely in holding police officers to the highest standards. But accountability without due process is not accountability. Research has examined the psychological impact of misconduct investigations on officers who were ultimately exonerated. That fact alone should give people pause before casually equating distress with guilt. An allegation can mean suspension, professional isolation, reputational damage, family and financial pressure, and months or even years of uncertainty. For a police officer, their profession is often a significant part of their identity. Being removed from it while an allegation hangs over them can have profound consequences. And being cleared does not simply put everything back together. Some officers will never return to the operational confidence, professional identity or psychological wellbeing they had before the investigation began. Exoneration cannot return the months or years taken from them. Many will never get promoted again no matter how competent they are. Police officers must be accountable for wrongdoing. Equally, the institutions investigating them must be accountable for how they investigate. Due process, timely investigations, transparency and procedural fairness are not protections from accountability. They are what makes accountability legitimate.

UK Counter Terrorism Policing chief Laurence Taylor suggests the RAF Fairford suspects were released on bail as part of a tactical move by investigators to collect more evidence, which he says was successful “We know that decisions made during our investigations can sometimes appear illogical to those on the outside, but I want to make it very clear, that there will always be good reason, or rationale behind them. We will always ensure that, should we identify any ongoing threat, we will manage that as part of the investigation. “Like our adversaries, our tactics vary – and may not always be obvious. “In this case, this decision-making has led to swifter progress, better evidence and ultimately us securing the charges I have announced today. “In sensitive investigations like this, it can take time to convert intelligence, into evidence and that is what scores of my officers and staff have been doing over the last few weeks.”

Cyclists shouldn't need to dismount. Sort the infrastructure out to segregate cyclists and pedestrians. Just kick the cars and buses out of there.
