I like the forum platform the new QIIME2 forum is based on. But I'm not sure if there is a fee attached. Alternatively, the google forums are quite handy and easy to set up. Both could be set up relatively quickly. Or were you thinking about something more professional looking?

@Metabarcoding have a forum on their website. I think it's not functional. It will be very helpful if we have a dedicated #eDNA forum to discuss. I will make it a point to bring this up with Dr. Pierre Taberlet when I talk to him next week. metabarcoding.org/

Awe...this is why we need a forum dedicated to #eDNA. Work in progress. I've found storage of a filter on site in a buffer is key. The basic ingredient needs to deactivated Dnases. Longmire's buffer has a the key ingredient EDTA!

The issue of DNA degradation from eDNA sampling to bringing it to the lab came up at @PISCeS_eDNA a lot. I’m wondering if filtering on site & placing the filter in ethanol would solve this problem? Any opinions @DNAquaNet @alpineedna @BerndHaenfling @LouBernatchez @NatureMetrics – at Guelph, Ontario
