Ford must be feeling invincible watching a, by polling standards anyways, more popular Premier try to pull his election gamble and completely wiff it. This is really arrogant!
Question Period: The Ontario NDP asks Premier Ford about his party's political connections and government benefits. "Why is he selling out Ontario to the highest bidder?" "That's the best you got," Ford snipes back. #onpoli

Oh another aspect about the election that I found hilarious; when it was looking like Bradford was on the cusp of winning, *of course* Ezra Levant tried to credit himself as giving Bradford upward momentum.

You wouldn't surprise me if you had told me something holding Bradford back from the general electorate was the awful people loudly declaring themselves for Bradford. You really think *Toronto* was going to go for the Rebel News candidate?

I can't even entirely blame Bradford for that, although it certainly couldn't have hurt him to tell these people to fuck off

In case you're wondering; he is very not happy that Olivia Chow won

Come on man. There's straight up a municipality in Ontario *named* Bradford
Brad's political talents are wasted on Toronto. He needs to run in the one place where his aura will be unstoppable.

No victory would ever be good enough
John Tory said Olivia Chow, as an incumbent, should have won by more. He didn’t say Chow got more votes tonight than any Toronto mayor ever, including Tory (3 times) #TorontoVotes2026

How can I be mad and partisan as possible about the results for Tree of the Year. Basswood was cheated.

Wait, we almost hit 50% voter turnout? Up from 29% in 2022? That's really great, actually

There was plenty of time for the amorphous centre-right coalition to not have coalesced around the guy simply because (And I cannot stress enough that this should have been part of the calculation to reject him) he had spent 3 years campaigning instead of city councillor-ing
Now that the Toronto municipal election is over, I need to get something off my chest: Brad Bradford was not a good candidate. He was not impressive, and he lost a very winnable election against the worst mayor in Toronto's history. Embarassing! Toronto deserved better!

Unfortunately she already has commitments to uphold as her first act
Chow's first act in office, to unify the city and prove she's a mayor for everybody, should be to demolish the ford family home and turn it into a bike lane

Can't believe my Minions meme didn't push Bradford to victory
Brad + Bananas... Whatever don't censor my art

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this result for mayor like way off polling, or am I just misremembering the polling

I understand why the ward races are harder to poll

As a final congratulation and thought, @beynate congratulations on becoming Councillor in BEY, finally having someone there who I do believe will be present and thoughtful. I really do hope you reach out to Jennie Worden and have her be a part of your team in some form.
