I've just filed a Confirmation Statement for work. FIFTY QUID! I'm sure it was about Twelve Quid the last time I looked.

Everything's fine...
So basically, today PHP got two critical bugs that let anyone run code on your server without even logging in, which is bad, and then the details leaked before the patch was even out, which is worse, and it works on WordPress and MediaWiki and Magento and Joomla and Laravel, and Censys says like 1.5 million servers are running a version with no fix, so the NSA was like "take your system offline," and the FBI was like "take your system offline," and CISA and the UK and CERT-EU were all like "take your system offline," and then the Prime Minister of Japan, the actual Prime Minister, posted at 5:55 in the morning telling 48.8 million people to take their system offline, so everyone took their system offline, like the Dutch cybersecurity agency took its own website offline, and the Dutch parliament went offline, and the Port of Rotterdam went offline, and Finland and France and Denmark started pulling government sites, and Wikipedia went down, and Archive.org went down, and Asana and GOG and Something Awful went down, and the University of Vienna's webmail went down for some reason, and that's just PHP. Because GitLab also dropped a CVSS 10.0, which is the highest score they give out, for a bug that's been there since 2014, so that's every self-hosted GitLab for twelve years, and then LiteLLM 1.107.0 got hijacked and shipped a credential stealer and a remote access trojan in every single wheel and the Docker images, including latest, and you didn't even have to import it, just installing it was enough, and it's the second time this year, and then Railway paused every deployment on the entire platform because someone got into the environment variables, so now everyone has to rotate every secret they've ever stored there, and TiDB Cloud said someone was walking around inside with stolen credentials for basically a month and an extortion group says they took 10.6 terabytes, and Zeabur got breached for the second time in two months and is just shutting down, like the whole company, and Node.js patched remote code execution and a TLS bypass, and CISA says Plex is being actively exploited, and someone took over 300 Tor exit relays to steal SSH passwords, and SafePay ransomware has hit over 600 critical infrastructure orgs, and India's biggest bank filed a data loss incident, and Japan has been in an official state of emergency in cyberspace since October 9, which honestly explains the 5:55 AM post. Oh, and eMudhra, a certificate authority that's issued over 60 million certificates, whose entire job is proving websites are who they say they are, was supposed to be using private keys that are random numbers over a hundred digits long, and one of them was 4. Just 4. And the others were like 66 and 237. Anyway, it's Wednesday.

This is excellent - much more elegant than the numbers counting down and I love that it tells you how long you have to wait on red; the one piece of information you REALLY want.
I don't know if anyone else does this, but I often wander through life observing just how crap most things are, from departure boards to TV EPGs. This is my idea on how to improve the traffic crossing experience in the UK with wait feedback. Shall I send it to Burnham?

Yesterday @CooperativeBank's business accounts weren't connecting to accountancy software. Today @HSBC's business banking app is down. It's not just the govt. who are making it hard to do business in this country.

I checked this and it was on 168. Which I found cruelly pleasing.
Ok, this is getting strange. 169, for the forth time, can SOMEONE please give me a follow and then stick with me so I don’t have to look at that silly number anymore? Please and thank you. 🙏🏻

It is increasingly difficult to escape the fact that Lawrence is A Good Chap.
As those who know me will know, I'm a huge Dolly Parton fan! So when former 'Traitor' @JulieJuliebi (Julie Hesmondhalgh) asked me to get involved with the launch of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library in my hometown of Accrington, how could I possibly say no?! 🤠 We launched yesterday and have already had some fantastic news coverage, thanks in no small part to Julie! You can watch the ITV News feature here: 👉 fb.watch/v/4EI6Agz9y/ I'm incredibly proud to play even a small part in Dolly Parton's wonderful legacy and help give children in Accrington the gift of reading. 📕 📘 📙 This is particularly special to me because my own Nana actually wrote the book we've donated to the project, the very same book she used to read to us as children. So it's lovely to see it playing a part in inspiring another generation. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this happen especially @MurraySDA. Have a great weekend everyone! ❤️

Jesus; the replies. Elon doesn't walk on water and his cars don't fly.
If any of you believe that is a proper vehicle that weighs over 1000kg you REALLY need to go back to school. Physics doesn’t work like that. No details, 2028 delivery, ridiculous stunts. I just know this is going to fill my feed today by idiots believing it 🤦🏼‍♂️

And that's the thing; Simon built the car HE wanted and built it the way he wanted it to be. And, more than any other reason, that's why I want one.
It’s not easy to describe how it felt driving the S1 on those roads. This isn’t just another car to those of us that founded Encor Design. We’ve poured everything we’ve learned in our 30+ year careers into creating the car we want to drive. There was no traffic, no potholes just a ribbon of tarmac through spectacular scenery. And a full tank of fuel in a car that started as an idea between a few car industry veterans 3 x years ago. I must have done 30+ runs up and down that mountain pass for the cameras and drone following me. Lightweight, perfectly balanced, an intoxicating noise, beautifully assembled and just pure fun. Road car Nirvana? We think so. So driving it on these roads felt like a seminal moment. Nobody Does it Better 💣💣🔫 @EncorDesign

So, I went to see the Jaguar Typo 1 yesterday. A different experience to @LUDENClassics - my attempts to get in an out of the back caused much hilarity - I am considerably shorter but, apparently, much less flexible than Luke. There is a bigger problem, though.../

Would I buy one? No. Would I buy one when nearly new ones are half price? Still, no - it's not really the price that puts me off. I just don't like the detailing - the graphics and logo are naff. A huge amount of effort has gone into the slatted back end but it looks tacky.../

Whilst the interior is light and airey (especially in the very light colours of the show car) and more spacious than I thought, it simply doesn't feel special enough and that might be its biggest problem. But, it WILL sell and that's A Good Thing. end/
