The Strategic Petroleum Reserve fell another 6 million barrels (Mb) last week to a new multidecade low of 319 Mb.
QUESTION: If there really is a global oil glut, isn't this the time to be refilling it?

Nobody who lives in the real world can believe we're basically ignoring the largest energy shock in history...but the fantasy/abstractionists truly believe we can paper this over, same as with a dodgy pile of human-constructed CDO paper. I blame too many years of good times.

This morning in Tokyo the yield on Japan's 30 year Government Bond surged more than 8.6% in a single session, not 8.6 basis points. 8.6 PERCENT. The 10 year yield crossed 3%.
For context, this is a move you would expect to see in a collapsing frontier economy not the world's third largest developed nation and not the largest foreign holder of United States debt. This is the type of spike that signals something has fundamentally broken in the global financial architecture.
What you are witnessing is not a correction. It is not volatility. It is the beginning of a sovereign debt unraveling that will force central banks into decisions they have spent decades trying to avoid. Those decisions will send the price of silver into territory that right now seems impossible to the average investor.

People worried about the fed confiscating their gold when they cant even afford business class anymore.
EVERYTHING marginally decent is being priced out of your hands, including your gold. Unaffordability is the policy now

Producer Prices in the US rose 4.6% per year over the last 5 years and over 25% in total.
2% inflation is a myth.
The Fed should be hiking rates, not cutting.

The cost-of-living crisis is really a sovereign debt crisis.
You can only print and borrow for so long.
It causes problems in the long run.
And the long run is here.

All it took was a 5% pullback in the S&P 500 to set the plunge protection team in motion. It's a stock market that's become addicted to easy money. With inflation where it is (4%/year over last 5 years) the Fed should be hiking rates, not cutting. They have lost all credibility.

Please explain to me why Intel just gave 10% of their equity to the U.S. Government?
Is this some sort of socialist-shakedown?
I don’t understand this at all. Not one bit. Beyond bizarre and more on the side of being scary.
The U.S. government seizing equity in private corps!?
