Police Commissioner Allister Guevarro describes the responsibilities and functions of the newly minted Diplomatic Security Unit of the TTPS, which he says would include managing protest demonstrations outside of embassies and high commissions. Guevarro says that in the past the TTPS would liaise with the respective security agencies of different countries who had resident ambassadors and was optimistic that the inclusion of this new unit, which operates under the Special Branch, will ensure more cohesive relations with these agencies.
