Cambridge decided it won't investigate Jason Arday's hiring. Instead, they will look at whether they gave the fraudster enough support while he committed his fraud. More evidence for what happens in a woke, post-truth world. jewishjournal.com/commentary…

Never heard this one before.
In December 2001, just three months after the September 11 attacks, Elton John appeared on “Live by Request,” an A&E special where viewers called in live to request songs. Among the callers, a woman shared that her husband had been one of the first responders to die at the World Trade Center, and that “Rocket Man” was his favorite song.
Elton, visibly moved by the request, sat down at the piano and began playing that 1972 classic that everyone had heard a thousand times before. But that night, in that context, the lyrics about loneliness and distance took on a completely different weight.
Sweating and with his voice breaking on every note, he managed to completely silence the audience for the four minutes the song lasted.

Hard to believe, but the NYTimes left Israel out of the list of countries sending aid to Venezuela. The article includes the UAE and Qatar, but not Israel, even though Israel sent search and rescue specialists, doctors, and nurses. Read for yourself: nytimes.com/2026/06/26/world…

If Trump were really proud of the US-Iran deal, wouldn't he make the terms public, if only to rub the Iranian regime's nose on how they lost? Instead, he's hiding the terms until after the documents are signed.
What's Trump hiding?

King Charles reminded Trump that the Supreme Court cited Magna Carta at least 160 times. here's my article on why MC applies today. Spoiler alert: it's all about limiting executive power: timesofsandiego.com/opinion/…
A student just wrote to ask advice: she waited until the semester's end to buy the book we're reading this week, and the store's out of stock. What should she do? Apparently, she does not know there's such a thing as the library.
