As a longtime @Eagles season ticket holder, I’m deeply disappointed and troubled by the news about @JalenHurts . Players’ health and safety must always come before winning games. Eagles fans deserve transparency about how these medical decisions were made. Accountability matters. #FlyEaglesFly
Jalen Hurts, the Philadelphia Eagles star quarterback, is out for the rest of the season after doctors discovered a blood clot in his leg and clots in both his lungs. The former Super Bowl MVP is expected to make a full recovery. @RhiannonAlly has details. abcworldnewstonight.visitlin…
This is malpractice. I feel bad for @JalenHurts I am a huge @Eagles fan but the organization failed him. Get better Champ!

As France is burning, I keep thinking of what the UAE Foreign Minister said a few years ago 👇
He accurately predicted this.
Could make an argument service overall has gotten worse because of it.
Call center jobs grew ~4% annually for 15 years
Now they’re shrinking 4% annually

The @BostonCollege Investment Committee (an LP and my beloved alma mater) asked for a few thoughts on what's happening in AI. I recorded a test run yesterday morning and then shared it with my partners, who encouraged me to share it more broadly... so here you go!
This is not a sales pitch, it's just a reflection on what we're seeing. And it wasn't intended to be shared, so please pardon the rough edges.

This, to me, shows the lack of true leadership at the helm of these companies. The only folks to blame are the people on the boards of @OpenAI and @AnthropicAI for allowing the current leadership to let this get out of hand. The “woe is me” narrative needs to stop.

I would burn my equity to the ground in a heartbeat for a 1% higher chance we make it out of this situation alive. I expect a great many of my colleagues across the industry would as well.
I promise you, we are actually just fucking scared, it's not galaxy brained marketing.

Roger Federer on what it takes to win:
“In the 1526 singles matches I played in my career, I won almost 80% of those matches. Now, I have a question for you. What percentage of points do you think I won in those matches? Only 54%. In other words, even top-ranked tennis players win barely more than half of the points they play. When you lose every second point on average, you learn not to dwell on every shot. You teach yourself to think: it's only a point.
When you're playing a point, it has to be the most important thing in the world, and it is. But when it's behind you, it's behind you. This mindset is really crucial because it frees you to fully commit to the next point and the next point after that, with intensity, clarity, and focus. You want to become a master at overcoming hard moments. That is, to me, the sign of a champion.”

America didn't win WWII because of its army. It won because of its factories. We're facing a new version of that challenge right now. 🧵
The core argument Herman makes — that national power IS industrial capacity — has never stopped being true. We just forgot it for 30 years while we offshored everything. Supply chain fragility in 2020 was our Pearl Harbor moment.
