Pregnancy is actually life threatening. My sister was okay all through her pregnancy journey, going for her regular antenatal checkups and everything was fine. CS was done, mother and child were fine and they even got discharged. Then boom, 3days later she started having severe stomach pains, returned to the hospital and got readmitted. It was from one complications to another and she passed after six weeks. No woman deserves to die while birthing, the mortality rate in Nigeria is so high and shouldn’t be trivialized. Pregnancy in Nigeria is actually life threatening
