MSCA has received 21,627 proposals for the 2026 call, more than double the 2024 figure. As someone with an MSCA Seal of Excellence & an Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship, I could not help but think about the scale of this competition.
With an initial budget of €399 million & around 1,600 fellowships, the success rate is roughly 7%. The European Commission estimates that preparing an MSCA proposal costs €11,800–€35,600.
