Not weird behavior at all. God forbid a breaker hits a big card and doesn’t scream like a paid actor. I’d break with these guys any day over the alternative.

This was dropped off at The National at around 3pm last Friday. Was supposed to be same day graded. Still in grading over a week later. I’m getting a discount and understand the growth of the hobby is partly out of their control so it is what it is. But still funny/annoying.
Not sure why people thought the hobby would slow down after the National. Market is on fire and a unique situation compared to years past. We’re in for a hot August and September (at least).
Post national thoughts:
I lost every auction on Alt last night. 0/13.
I’m already outbid on all cards at fanatics for this weekend.
I assumed I would be able to start getting some deals with softening prices. I have not.
I’ve been selling high end rarity at near full ask with ease this week after posting the cards one time. People have been reaching out looking for stuff that’s sold in the past 2 weeks.
I’m not so confident that the market pulls back significantly in the segment I operate the most in anymore. I still think it does on specific grades and certain cards, but the rest I just don’t know anymore.
I started lightly buying stuff I think is undervalued for a mid-term 6-12 mo hold vs immediate flips already. I think the risk is low and the upside is very high but we’ll see. I was very correct on Griffey and most are selling 2-5x over last sales with some at 10x. I don’t expect to be correct all the time but it’s nice to be every once in a while.
I stopped buying bulk for grading. I’m at 250 cards if and when they reopen.
I started buying cards for regular speed and up again. I paused for July with how busy everything is.
I’ve been green lit for ebay live and will start a show late august, early sept. I will not be on air but behind the scenes running product curation and show themes.
I paid off all the bad business debt and have very little good business debt left. I need to pull more credit to increase my DUNS credit rating and use it more effectively. I may have to front run buying heavily for grading like @CardsMax and send out 20-40k orders monthly, if I can source the inventory. Just stuff to run on auction most likely. Idk yet.
