NYT: Susan Collins Says Jackson’s “Oh, Shut Up” Comment Reflects How He Treats Women
“I was struck by how reflexive the response, ‘Oh, shut up’ was,” Susan Collins, the longest-serving Republican woman in Senate history, told Fox News on Friday, adding that “the fact that it seemed like such an automatic, quick reply was very telling.”
She said the exchange brought to mind what she described as the “reputation” that Troy Jackson, a former State Senate president, had when he was a state lawmaker, “particularly when he’s dealing with women with whom he disagrees.”

sometimes I think about how many people’s lives are wasted creating “content” instead of doing something beneficial for society and I get real depressed
What’s stopping a gas station from just lowering their price by a buck and getting All The Customers?
I never thought of this but it’s hilarious that the ring kept ending up in the hands of tiny people with no ambition instead of great kings or generals who would’ve been instantly ensnared. By the time it got to Frodo it must’ve thought “oh no not another one”
