Just in case Remainers didn't know what type of Remain they were voting for. Merkel - November 2012 The EU will transform into a single nation—a superstate—“otherwise it will not work in the long term”.

UK exports to the EU are up 22% since 2019, with exports to non EU up 29%. We export more to non EU than EU, we export more services than goods. UK goods exports to EU are under 6% of our GDP, not the key to UK growth.

Brexit Decent thread from Stephen outlining how the EU is trying to shaft us in the EU reset on future policy in AI/ Digital/ Tech! If we acquiesce to this we’re giving away any competitive advantage in the future, from the crappy autocratic slow growing over regulated EU! @DMcWilliams_UK @CeeMacBee @DavidGHFrost

The Bank Governor thinks closer ties with the EU could help growth. Why? The last two years of more laws and higher taxes have put inflation and unemployment up. The EU making us do more of the same will not boost growth.

Labour has fallen for the two dumbest Remoaner myths. Soaring immigration and a decrepit economy have nothing to do with Brexit. They have everything to do with weak politicians who are terrified of UK sovereignty, says Patrick West buff.ly/QDCOWyR

EU re set will cost UK taxpayers more money, put up energy costs, burden businesses with needless extra rules, slash UK university income from EU students, give away fish we could land and invite in many more young people needing homes and jobs. Why do any of that?

In 2017, Andy Burnham wanted to end open borders with the EU. Now he's changed his tune, and wants another decade of back-and-forth over Europe. This is insane.

Delving into some the detail this EU reset deal doesn't even pass the sniff test. We are paying a huge price for this deal in the expectation our export market in SPS good will grow. But, the projection is only a small modest growth. Even for the EU; it's a smoke screen!

… Unfortunately the proposed reset takes the opposite approach: · putting at risk existing Brexit benefits. · limiting future benefits. · imposing high costs on the economy e.g. from regulatory burden on food production not going to the EU & from direct payments to the EU. ...

Illegal migration Point 60 is more comedy gold. Apparently, we adopted the European Commission’s Channel Action Plan in June 2026, which is apparently providing ‘a structured EU-level framework for cooperation to tackle irregular migration and the criminal networks facilitating it, as well as to strengthen border management.’ The EU claims that its Action Plan is ‘coordinating action against migrant smuggling’. However, anyone who has watched footage of French Police standing on Calais beaches while enormous rubber dinghies are loaded with illegal migrants, which the French navy then escorts to the UK’s maritime border, may not have realised that this is a coordinated action against migrant smuggling. Point 60 also explains that the UK is ‘making a financial contribution’ to the EU’s ‘coordinated action’ to reflect our ‘shared responsibility for addressing these challenges’. Again, the Document doesn’t mention how large this financial contribution is, but we can see from the daily dinghy arrivals in the UK that the EU is either totally inept or it is actually coordinating the movement of illegal migrants into the UK, rather than trying to stop it. Or the EU is simply pocketing the money and letting the French Police do what they like. Also a possibility. For more information, read my Substack: catherinemcbride.substack.co…

This is the final salary pension ruse that all chiefs of public sector pull. They co-ordinate a final year or two with maximum salary. It’s a massive scam.
Previous Chief Executive of East Cheshire NHS Trust Ged Murphy, doubled his pay from £172,500 to £377,500 in a single year. He retired in July 2026

It still beggars belief that Burnham’s destructive EU Reset Deal will ultimately destroy the UK’s agritech industry that’s currently worth £28bn in a hope to get a marginal increase in our £12bn in food exports to the EU It’s like selling a Fabergé egg to pay for a service on your 2016 BMW 3 Series telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2…

The UK electorate really needs to understand the bullet it has dodged here. A minimum of 30,000 migrants relocated every six months, from the countries they are landing in to other EU member states. The UK would get a huge chunk of these, if it was an EU member. Huge chunk.
BREAKING: The European Commission announced today which countries are under “migratory pressure” and will be able to send away some of their asylum seekers to other EU states under the “migrant relocation quotas” created by the EU’s new Migration Pact. The countries are: 🇪🇸 Spain 🇮🇹 Italy 🇬🇷 Greece 🇨🇾 Cyprus These 4 countries will be able to put asylum seekers into a “Solidarity Pool” for 2027 from which migrants will then be relocated in other EU states. The size of the Solidarity Pool was decided today but the information about it is being kept secret for now. 6 countries were classified as facing a “significant migratory situation” and will be allowed to request from exemptions of receiving quota migrants. Those 6 countries are: 🇵🇱 Poland 🇨🇿 Czechia 🇭🇷 Croatia 🇦🇹 Austria 🇧🇬 Bulgaria 🇪🇪 Estonia To receive an exemption, the country’s request has to pass a QMV vote (Qualified Majority Voting) in the Council of the European Union. Countries which are forced to take part in the Solidarity Pool will either have to take in the number of quota migrants assigned to them by the EU, pay EUR 21 000 for every quota migrant they refuse to receive or send significant resources to help the 4 countries under migratory pressure to handle the situation. Two countries have refused to take part in the entire new migrant relocation system and its fines. Those two countries are: 🇭🇺 Hungary 🇸🇰 Slovakia

It is a mystery why only the UK side of the North Sea is a declining basin while the Norwegians keep finding more and more oil and gas on their side of the North Sea. 🤔 Could this possibly be caused by our ban on new exploration?
Backing new licenses won’t save jobs in a declining, mature basin, but it will put a wrecking ball through climate credibility. Employment in Scotland supported by the oil and gas sector fell by a third since 2014 - despite hundreds of new licenses being awarded.

- £41bn for the EU - £39bn for Chagos - £10bn for Ukraine And not a single vote for any of it. The supranational entities (UN, IMF, EU, WEF, WB etc.) have plenty of new "jobs for the boys" though. Are you seeing how it works now, kids? 🤔

When in the EU, they decided UK laws with us having a limited say. In the referendum, the UK voted to decide our own laws unilaterally. The Govt’s response? Allow the EU to decide UK laws unilaterally with us having no say. And pay them for the privilege. Make it make sense!
There is a wrong perception immigration was the main reason people voted leave. In fact, deciding our own laws was far more important. The reset means the EU will unilaterally decide many UK laws. And we're going to pay for the privilege. It's not going to go down well. …

Point 66 gets to the EU’s main aim in its protectionist policies: the EU wants the UK to help protect the EU’s steel industries with a quota system under the WTO GATT process. This ‘reciprocal’ arrangement has two massive holes. 1. The UK hardly makes any steel any more. It is down to just 2 blast furnaces, and they are only still operating because of massive government subsidies, while the EU has 47 blast furnaces and hundreds of Electric Arc Furnace steelworks which run on much cheaper industrial electricity than the UK’s. So agreeing to Point 66 would simply result in the final death of UK steelmaking. 2. The EU has defied the WTO CODEX rules and has ignored a myriad of complaints to the WTO after the EU lowered its pesticide Maximum Residue Levels, and its banning of certain food ingredients and packaging materials without any scientific evidence to back up its changes. The EU is happy to cherry-pick which WTO rules it wants to obey and which it wants to ignore, but now the EU wants to use the WTO to block Chinese EV and steel imports while the EU is simultaneously defying the WTO CODEX rules and blocking imports of fruit, vegetables, and cereals from other countries. I should point out that if the UK is silly enough to let the EU make its SPS rules, the UK will also be defying WTO CODEX rules. However, the UK would still have a steel industry and would not fear being undercut by Chinese steel if it had encouraged investment in new steel plant and equipment rather than making steel production uneconomic through short-sighted carbon taxes, bans on coking coal extraction, and high industrial electricity prices making EAFs uneconomic in the UK.
