SNOW!! South Dakota DOT cameras are picking up snow in western South Dakota today. MSP typically averages its first measurable snowfall (0.01") around November 6th. Last year it was late (11/25), but in 2023 and 2024 MSP saw the first measurable snow right around Halloween!

Super Typhoon Champi is now an upper-echelon storm with sustained winds of 180mph and a pressure of 899 millibars, and one of the most impressive structures you can get. A ~60km wide eye with a ~500km wide CDO that continues to expand. This 6 hour loop is absolutely incredible.

🚨🌨️ Winter has arrived in Utah and is currently dumping up to 1 FOOT of snow across the Wasatch Mountains, at ski resorts including @AltaSkiArea, @Snowbird, @PCski, @Deer_Valley, @BrightonResort, and @SolitudeMTN. 😍 ⏳🏂 The ski season is not far behind it, with this storm making its way to Colorado next. We should see lifts start to spin within the next couple of weeks, and we can hardly wait! 😆 Where are you planning on making your first turns this winter? 🤷‍♂️
