My heart goes out to everyone affected by the tragedy at CFB Wainwright, especially those grieving loved ones and recovering from injuries.
We are deeply grateful to the first responders, healthcare workers and everyone who stepped up when it was needed most. @UNDEUEDN

Devastating news from Hamilton.
To @USW1005 members: Canada’s unions stand with you.
We need to fight for these jobs with every tool we have and build an economy where workers come first.

The federal government is dangerously proposing legislation to restrict legal strikes through Bill C-39.
And we're joining workers across the country saying it loud and clear: Protect Workers' Right To Strike!

Workers’ rights are not up for trade.
The IAM Union is raising concerns about Bill C-39 and what its labour provisions could mean for workers across Canada.

Right there with you, Mark.
When workers’ rights are under attack, we stand together and we push back.
The right to strike is fundamental. We will defend it.
The right to strike is non-negotiable.
Employers already hold enormous power over jobs and investment. Workers balance that power through collective bargaining, including the right to strike.
@MarkJCarney , workers’ bargaining power is part of Canada’s national interest.
.@alexboulerice, mon ami,
Tu quittes Ottawa, mais certainement pas la lutte!
You’ve always been a champion for workers and helping win anti-scab legislation is one hell of a legacy.
Thank you for your friendship, and your solidarity.
On se revoit sur les lignes de piquetage!

Canada’s Unions support the Prime Minister’s decision to walk away from a bad deal.
Now we must protect workers and communities on the frontlines of this trade war.
Let’s get to work. canadianlabour.ca/walking-aw…
Walking away from a bad deal is the right choice for Canada.
The road ahead will be tough. But we’re all in this together. We must use our leverage to force Trump to back down.
And we must focus on protecting workers and communities impacted by Trump’s trade war.
As trade unionists, we know what it takes to win at the negotiating table against a powerful counterpart. It takes strength, clarity, unity. It means knowing your bottom line, understanding your leverage and potentially using it. Sometimes it means walking away from a bad deal.
Carney speaks with Trump, calls trade negotiations ‘very intense and delicate’: Live tariff updates here. bnnbloomberg.ca/tariffs/2026…
Workers need a deal that protects good jobs, strengthens our economy and delivers real stability for workers and communities. Canada must hold firm on our interests and our red lines, while also having a clear plan to support workers and communities if tariffs come into effect.
We stand with Team Canada as it works toward a strong and fair agreement that benefits workers on both sides of the border. As these negotiations enter a critical stage, now is the time to stay united and make sure that whatever comes next delivers for workers. #cdnpoli
We mourn the loss of Jeff Sloychuk, a longtime advocate and leader in the NDP and Canada’s labour movement. His commitment to working people helped shape the better future we continue to fight for today.
My deepest condolences to his family, friends and loved ones.
Yesterday, we lost a great friend of the labour movement, Geraldine McGuire. Through her work as @cupenat’s secretary-treasurer and former CUPE BC president, she fought tirelessly for workers, equality and justice. Her leadership and solidarity will be deeply missed.
Collective bargaining works. Congratulations to CUPE WestJet flight attendants on their tentative agreement. Unpaid work won’t fly.

We stand with the striking workers at the Bank of Canada!
The right to strike is a fundamental right that gives us the power to negotiate better deals.
Tell Prime Minister Carney to protect workers’ right to strike.

Anti-scab law exists to protect workers’ right to strike and ensure fair collective bargaining. The Bank must stop using scab labour, comply with the rulings and return to the bargaining table.

It's time to fight back.
Trump’s threat of 50% tariffs is a direct attack on Canadian workers, our industries and our economy. PM should recall Parliament to pass emergency measures to protect Canadian jobs, support workers and respond with the full strength of economic tools.
Canadians know this about bullies: they don’t back down when you give in. They back down when you stand up.
We need to restore our counter-tariffs and intro export taxes on products the U.S. desperately depends on, including energy, lumber, potash, and critical minerals.
