🇨🇺🇺🇸 The Cuban delegation at the UN got into a shouting match with Mike Waltz after they disliked him showing how children of the corrupt Castro regime officials live their luxurious lives. US Ambassador to the UN Mike Waltz took the podium, held up photos of the Castro family’s luxury lifestyle, and accused the Havana government of profiting off the forced labor of its citizens. As he spoke, members of the Cuban delegation began slamming their tables and shouting for a point of order. Tensions peaked when Foreign Minister Rodríguez Parrilla left his seat, walked down the aisle, and charged toward the rostrum, shouting that Waltz was a liar. Waltz stood his ground and repeatedly ordered the Cuban official to “back up.” Raising his voice, he said, “This is the United Nations, this isn’t your communist dictatorship. You cannot silence me... He’s not going to intimidate me in the United States of America like he tries to intimidate political prisoners.” The confrontation grew so heated that the President of the General Assembly suspended the meeting to restore order.

Legacy media will never run this list, so I will. 2018, Flint, Michigan: Elon funded filtration systems for schools with unsafe water. Over $480K. 2018, Thailand: SpaceX engineers built a mini-submarine within days to help rescue a boys' soccer team trapped in a flooded cave. 2020, COVID: He sourced and delivered ventilators and supplies to hospitals for free. 2021: He gave Tesla shares worth about $5.7 billion to charity. 2021: He funded a $100M XPRIZE for carbon removal, one of the largest incentive prizes ever. 2022: Starlink kept Ukrainians connected when their networks went down. 2022, Tonga: Starlink helped reconnect the island after a volcano cut its undersea cable. Wildfires, hurricanes, earthquakes: Starlink terminals keep showing up for rescuers and families. And the biggest one, the one that's easy to miss: he's spent his fortune and 20+ years building clean energy, safer cars, and a future for humanity among the stars. They call him a villain. The record says otherwise.

I don’t feel like I have a home in either party. Will probably have to leave some ballot choice unchecked.
Tesla’s Optimus training regime leak. Workers in its Palo Alto R&D facility have been holding “robot university” for many months already. Press got it wrong when they said it just started up. Workers are wearing 24 lb suits with up to 40 cameras and grids of 3D sensors. To capture very detailed video and 3D fields of whatever the worker does. There are multiple configurations. They are given different tasks to do. They don’t know where the tasks come from. Multiple squads are working on three shifts 24 hours a day. Similar efforts were seen at the Texas factory. The data collection effort is immense. A Tesla car only has nine cameras. This leads to a data flywheel that is orders of magnitude more data than the car captured. Separate teams are capturing home data, like making a sandwich, while other teams capture jobs on factory floor, like installing HVAC systems in cars. Elon isn’t playing around. I can’t tell you how I learned this.

I’m hooked now. I have a GTi mount and ordered a better lens and some more stuff that Grok helped me pick out. Hoping to find some clear night sky soon to test it.

I try to explain this to people but many of them have been programmed.
The sheer fucking hypocrisy surrounding Elon Musk is breathtaking. For decades, billionaire-funded foundations have financed advocacy groups, political campaigns, legal organizations, and efforts to reshape public policy. George Soros is one of the most prominent examples. And somehow that influence is routinely presented as enlightened philanthropy. Then Elon Musk enters politics, spends openly, challenges powerful institutions, and suddenly the entire establishment discovers the dangers of billionaire influence. Give me a fucking break. The man has built companies that launch rockets, connect the world through satellites, manufacture vehicles, and advance technologies with enormous implications for humanity. His long-term ambition is to make civilization multiplanetary. He has a profound personal interest in a future where technological progress remains possible. You can disagree with his politics. But pretending he’s just another billionaire looking for influence ignores the extraordinary scale of what he’s actually trying to accomplish.

Elon Musk made a bunch of money the last few years and commie Bernie says "gee, I wonder why" Um...Elon's landing rocket ships backwards and building flying cars, you stupid communist. I know you've never built anything, you've only ever worked for government, but Elon not only makes cool shit, he also directly employs over 160,000 people, and God knows how many people make a living using his work product. How many people have you employed in your life, Bernard? What have you built? You've never produced anything of value in your entire impotent life...gee, I wonder why?
Since Trump’s election: -Musk got $680 billion richer -Musk became the 1st trillionaire -SpaceX got $10 billion in federal contracts -Tesla & SpaceX paid $0 in federal income taxes Now, Musk’s spending $442 million to keep Republicans in control of Congress. Gee, I wonder why?

I've seen the 2017 in person but have not seen the new one yet. It was pretty but not radical enough. I would definitely take the Performance version of the new roadster over the 2017.

I left Tesla over two years ago, and in the background, I’ve been quietly building my research and data company, Physical AI Data (physicalaidata.com). Whenever I looked for data on, say, robotaxi vehicle counts, ride counts, collision rates, or other data points, I realized there was no global “one-stop shop” dataset across robotaxis, humanoids, and other physical AI industries. So I decided to build one. And of course, once you build a super-detailed dataset with your team, it makes sense to turn that data into research and conclusions that help physical AI companies and investors understand what to focus on and where things are heading. At Tesla, I had the enormous privilege of spending quality time with some of the world’s best engineers and learning directly from them. Undoubtedly, Tesla was developing physical AI before “physical AI” became a term. So building this platform felt like a natural next step. In my view, physical AI, starting with robotaxis (our main focus thus far), will impact our daily lives so profoundly that it makes sense to build a platform dedicated to explaining it in plain language.
Physical AI will have a profound impact on our daily lives, but the data surrounding it is still very scattered. We’re launching PhysicalAIData.com to bring it all together in one place.

The largest famine in human history was a timetable of a government improving on nature, and every line of it was announced as progress. 1958, January: Mao issues eight rules for farming. Two of them come from the Soviet biologist Lysenko, who taught that plants of one species do not compete, so seedlings can be sown ten times closer. Nobody in the room has farmed. 1958, spring: The Four Pests campaign. Every sparrow in China is drummed out of the sky, close to two billion birds, and the insects that fed their chicks are left alone with the wheat. 1958, spring: Deep ploughing is ordered. A metre down, in places three. A thousand years of topsoil is buried under subsoil that will not grow a weed. 1958, summer: Close planting. Seedlings packed so tight the lower leaves rot in the dark, and the fields are ventilated with electric fans and lit at night with lamps. 1958, August: Half a billion peasants are moved into communes. The private plot, the family pig and the family goat are taken into common ownership, and the pigs start dying first. 1958, autumn: Backyard furnaces. Ninety million peasants are pulled off the fields at harvest to melt their pots and tools into worthless iron, and the forests come down to fire them. 1958, winter: With the real harvest rotting unpicked in the fields, the provinces report the biggest crop in history to Beijing, 375 million tonnes, nearly double the truth. 1959: The grain quota is set on the fiction. The state takes its share of a harvest that does not exist, and ships 4 million tonnes abroad to pay for machinery. 1959, summer: The locusts arrive, then the borers, on fields with no sparrows. The counties that lost the most birds lose the most grain. 1959, July: Marshal Peng Dehuai tells Mao the countryside is starving. He is purged, and every official in China learns what honesty costs. 1960: The pig herd has halved. The oxen are eaten. In Anhui and Sichuan whole villages have nobody left strong enough to bury the dead. 1960: Beijing quietly buys a quarter of a million sparrows from Moscow, in crates, in hard currency. 1962, January: Liu Shaoqi stands up in front of seven thousand officials and calls the disaster three parts nature and seven parts man. 1962: The private plots are handed back. The family pig returns. The famine ends within the year. Three years of ploughing, planting, slaughtering and drumming against nature, and the dead run from fifteen million at the lowest count to forty-five million at the highest, in a country at peace, with a generation behind them never born. Every animal on that timeline was removed as a cost. The sparrow, the pig, the goat, the ox. The grain was the plan, and the grain was never enough. The famine ended on the day a family was allowed to keep a pig again.

“The US should intentionally cripple its space capabilities and try to bankrupt its leading launch company on purpose”
Because of Musk’s class B shares which give him 80% voting power, the board can’t do much. It will fall to the next Dem POTUS to revoke Musk’s security clearance (day one), and use the DoD, EPA, FCC and FAA to cripple SpaceX operations until he leaves of his own accord.
