For me, this is pure magic. Hatfield and the North took the Caravan/Soft Machine vibes to new territory. Plenty of humour in the songs and titles too. #albums2hearlisteningparty

Now playing: Lounging There Trying by Hatfield and the North.
Now playing: Shaving Is Boring by Hatfield and the North.
‘Hatfield and the North’ (1974) is an absolute gem of an album and a Canterbury scene classic. Endlessly fascinating and bursting with ludicrous humour, jazz rock key changes and time signatures. The centrepiece is the keyboard driven ‘Son of 'There's No Place like Homerton’.
