You have to admire the resilience and persistence of players like Jay Dasilva, Coventry City’s matchwinner. Quite a journey the 28-year-old left-back's been on. 50 games in League One, 245 Championship, now 5 games in PL. He was a youth star at Chelsea, won FA Youth Cup x3, Uefa Youth League x2 (with Christensen and Loftus-Cheek, Mount and Tomori). Didn’t make the first-team grade, sent out on loan to Charlton, then loaned and signed for Bristol City, played plenty but also endured stress fracture and shin injuries. Released by Bristol City, joined Coventry on a free. Last season, Dasilva suffered the frustration at Wales losing shootout to Bosnia-Herzegovina and not qualifying for 2026 World Cup. But got promotion, and now a Premier League match-winner 🙌 #PUSB

Always good when an owner is transparent and addresses issues. And defiant. “We get knocked down, we get up again.“ Doug King 🙌

Ticket sales are a reflection of it being September and budgets tight if you’ve got kids who’ve just gone back to school. And a fanbase without tourists who would make up the numbers at Old Trafford/Anfield whenever seats come available. And it’s on TV. And we have Villa again

If Everton are up for sale, the valuation and future capital needs of the club will surprise you. The reasons for selling are apparent (please note the independent qualification re the report): theesk.org/2026/09/06/indepe…
