cc: @jaredkushner you soulless fucking ghoul. This is on you, motherfucker, and that goon monkey Witkoff, and your soon-to-be-wormmeat FIL. I hope some Ukrainian dad finds you one day, you Putin whore.
A father screams in anguish beside the body of his dead daughter. Two 15-year-old girls were killed in a russian attack on the center of Chernihiv, Ukraine. Dozens are injured, including four children aged 10, 16, and 17, and a 10-month-old baby girl. Meanwhile, Trump has ordered Ukriane not to hit russian oil refineries, so that russia could make billions and build more rockets and drones to kill more Ukrainians.

Matthew Henson, an African American explorer who was born in Charles County Maryland on August 8, 1866, was the first person in history to reach the North Pole. At a young age, he was orphaned and lived with his aunt in Washington DC. However, he quit school in order to be a sailor. At the age of 12, he joined Captain Child's crew on the merchant ship Katie Hinds traveling around the world for six years. He became an expert at charting and navigating. At age of 20, Henson was discovered by an explorer named Robert E. Peary, who was impressed with the breadth of his geographical knowledge and experience. As a result, Peary invited Henson to join him for an expedition designed to investigate the feasibility of a canal linking the Atlantic and Pacific oceans through Nicaragua. After that expedition, Henson and Peary undertook seven more expeditions with the goal of becoming the first to reach the North Pole, which was Peary's dream. Because of how difficult the mission was, they failed six times. Nevertheless, this didn't stop them from planning the seventh expedition. For it, Henson taught himself how to build sleds, how to master a team of dogs, and how to speak the Inuit language. Henson invested many hours of study to make the corresponding calculations. All of the hard work and planning paid off because, on April 6, 1909, Matthew Henson arrived at the North Pole and planted the American flag. He arrived 45 minutes ahead of Peary whose progress was a lot slower because he lost several toes to frostbite. Sadly, it wasn't until more than 30 years later in 1945 that Henson received the Navy Medal from Congress, and it wasn't until 1961 that a plaque was erected in his honor at the State House at Annapolis, Maryland. Henson dièd in the Bronx, New York City on March 9, 1955, at the age of 88. In 1988, his remains were moved to Arlington National Cemetery, where he was buried with full honors next to his friend, Robert Peary.

Golding didn't like this as he met about 30 like-minded far-right flag shagging simpletons in Shrewsbury today. Massively outnumbered by decent compassionate people.

Ian Wright grew up in South London without his dad, who walked out when he was 18 months old. The man who replaced him was a heavy drinker and gambler who regularly mistreated Wright and his mum. “He was a nasty piece of work.” There wasn't much warmth from his mum either, and he grew up feeling unwanted under his own roof. “I was watching other people in households getting love, but I wasn’t getting anything.” He couldn't remember ever being hugged as a kid, and the anger from that stayed with him for years. What he never got his head around was how someone could walk into a family and treat another person's child like that. “And I could not understand, even with having nothing, how somebody could come in and treat a child like my stepdad treated me.” It never left him. In 1982, aged just 19, Wright got together with a young woman called Sharon, who already had a little boy, Shaun, nearly three. Wright had no professional contract and no real direction, but his mind was made up about Shaun. “I was 19, didn’t have a job, and no means, but I took him on because it was the right thing to do.” He adopted Shaun and raised him, despite barely having enough to look after himself. “I never thought twice about it.” “He was a lovely kid.” He'd spent years at trials, getting knocked back time after time, and he'd been getting into trouble off the pitch too. That same year, 1982, he was sent to Chelmsford Prison for two weeks over unpaid driving fines. “So there I am, 19 years old, with a young son at home.” He'd never been through anything like it. “My life has never gotten lower than that.” Once he was out, he decided things had to change, starting with giving up on becoming a professional footballer. He learned bricklaying, then plastering, and eventually got maintenance work at Tunnel Refineries in Greenwich. By then he and Sharon had another boy, Bradley. Weekend football carried on, but providing for Shaun and Bradley came first. “I’m going to just work hard and try and help my boys.” He wanted them to have the childhood he never had. “I didn’t want any of my kids to not be loved, like how I felt.” And for Shaun especially, having a stepdad was never going to mean living through what he had. “When I started going out with his mum, I knew I wanted to treat him like my son.” “He is my son.” Football found him again when Crystal Palace offered a trial in 1985. From there it was Arsenal, where he became the club's record goalscorer, and then England. Shaun was carving out his own path too. Released by Nottingham Forest as a youngster, he joined Manchester City and worked up through the youth sides into the first team. By November 2000 he was playing Premier League football for City, with Wright watching from the stands. “I’m very proud of him.” In March 2004, Shaun got his first senior England call-up for a friendly against Sweden. “As a dad I am so proud.” “He’s done it all of his own back.” He went on to play for Chelsea, came back to Manchester City and went to the 2010 World Cup with England, finishing on 36 caps. Years on, Wright still talks about him with the same pride. “It chokes me when I think how he’s grown up and succeeded.” He got none of the love he needed as a kid and made sure Shaun never went without it. That's what being a dad looks like.

Because there's probably a lot more to come? The Royal 'Firm', with support from the #UKMedia tried their best to destroy Virginia Giuffre. When they failed, Charlie Boy and his mother went for the only other route they had left, and paid her off. They have known about this for yrs and they know the full extent of his activities with Epstein? It's corrupt and it absolutely stinks
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor being investigated for allegations of women being trafficked to Balmoral by Epstein and Maxwell. King Charles continues to protect that nonce on the Sandringham Estate. Why is that? #AbolishTheMonarchy #Epstein

The Tory government preferred to give COVID contracts to people recommended by Sarah Ferguson rather than to firms that had been in medical supplies for decades. What a corrupt country the UK is. Long overdue for #ElectoralReform and proper scrutiny of government and Royalty.
🔴 EXCLUSIVE: After *five-year* legal battle, Democracy for Sale has forced the government to reveal who referred firms to lucrative Covid PPE ‘VIP lane’ for 'politically connected' 30+ senior Tories are named, plus ex Duchess of York, and many more 🧵 democracyforsale.substack.co…

Hi @andreajenkyns, why did you delete the video of yourself with Paolo Zampoli talking about how you had just had lunch together? Is it because you realised the House Judiciary Committee investigation stated he was “an active participant” in Jeffery Epstein's alleged sex trafficking? Or was it that the FBI said he arranged a model’s visa before she was recruited to give a massage at Epstein’s house, where Epstein allegedly raped her? Or is it the civil lawsuit he’s facing over the alleged drugging and raping of Victoria Drake? And you think he’s “amazing”. That’s a lot of promises you’re making there, Mayor.

🔴TAX AVOIDANCE: “Lord Bamford” 'These elitists take the money, move it offshore then move abroad. In the case of Bamford, as he is still (as far as I know) a major shareholder and partner in JCB, can his assets be sequestered by HMRC❓ He does OWE them half a billion pounds.' - @jmacross46
Her and “Lord Bamford”. They take the money, move it offshore then move abroad to avoid prison. In the case of Bamford, as he is still (as far as I know) a major shareholder and partner in JCB, can his assets be sequestered by HMRC? He does owe them half a billion pounds.

In the final years of his life, Ernest Hemingway tried to convince friends and family that the FBI was following him, but they just told him he was paranoid. In late 1960, he was admitted to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, where he received electroshock therapy. Even there, he refused to speak freely, convinced someone was listening. In July 1961, Hemingway died by suicide at his home in Idaho. Years after he died, the FBI released files showing that they had been monitoring him for the last 20 years of his life.
