Just in: Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards will undergo an arthroscopic procedure on his ailing right knee and miss up to two months, sources tell ESPN.

What is going on with Alpha? Started with a wrist injury and now it's personal reasons? Hope nothing major is going on

Jokić has shot 28.5% (57/200) from three since returning from his injury last season. Whether he's complaining about discomfort or not, something sure seems to be impacting his shot.
FWIW, asked David Adelman if he’s concerned at all by Nikola Jokic’s slow shooting start (5/23 from 3 in particular, exacerbating Denver’s spacing issues caused by no Cam Johnson): “I don’t see anything mechanical. He hasn’t complained about any discomfort or anything like that.”

A win-win-win trade if I've ever seen one

Sounds like the Raptors need another creator. Can I interest you in one Jamal Murray?
Toronto's Kawhi Leonard is expected to miss a period of weeks due to swelling in his left knee, sources tell ESPN. MRI on Leonard's knee showed no structural damage, but sides will use the shorter term to ramp him back up after the stoppages during the offseason.

Three games into the season Jokić doesn't even qualify for the NBA leaderboard in post ups, which requires a minimum of 10. Doesn't make a lot of sense for someone who's averaged over 5 post ups a game for 6 seasons in a row!

I'd be curious to know the last time the Nuggets trailed by 20+ points in consecutive home games, but I'd imagine it has been a while
If it feels like we’re overreacting it’s because this just hasn’t happened in the last 6 years. Jokic and the starters stink. Literally has never been the case. Jokic is a -16. Again probably happened less than 10 times in the previous 10 season to bad teams.

The fewest rebounds Jokić had in a full game last season was 7, he already has two such games this season. Last season the Nuggets were the 2nd best defensive rebounding team in the league, so far this season they're 26th.
Golden State didn't play anyone taller than 6'9 tonight and outrebounded the Nuggets 45-32. That's a pretty sure sign the Nuggets got simply outworked on the glass.

Plausible explanations for this imo are random variance in a small sample size, injury/decline, or a lack of effort. Still too early to know which one it is, but something to keep an eye on.

It has now been 42 games for Jokić since he returned from his injury, and as much as I hate to say it I've been pretty underwhelmed by his level of play for most of those 42 games. If we get a full season of this I wouldn't be comfortable giving him a supermax extension.

Takeaways from Nuggets game 3: -They are certified non-contenders right now. -The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Nothing will change with this team until they change something about this team. -Tyus shouldn't play.

It's funny he got so mad about this because it looked like a pretty obvious call to me
Aaron Gordon gets ejected for its 8:34 remaining and the Nuggets trailing 108-91. He was letting the refs hear it after an illegal screen was called against Christian Braun, who said “that’s terrible.”

Down 20, AG tossed and playing terrible anyway?

Working to confirm but I'm hearing that allowing 100 points through 3 quarters is actually not good

Meanwhile, Golden State hasn't played anyone taller than 6'9 tonight. Jokić should be cooking them in the paint and he's just...not

The wording here implies that a Zeke trade would be a pure salary dump, which is something I'd be opposed to. Anyone who's still a free agent right now isn't someone you should be expecting to give you any kind of meaningful contribution. They should be looking to add via trade.
Denver is hoping to fill its 15th roster spot with a guard but remains mindful of its financial constraints as a second-apron team, league sources tell @TheConsensusNBA. There’s optimism the Nuggets could move Zeke Nnaji’s salary and pursue a free-agent guard.

Have not seen the Brazile-AG duo on the floor together at all so far tonight, which checks out
Wow who could've ever imagined it would be a good idea to put some size on the floor

I'd rather the Nuggets just leave the last roster spot open than give it to one of these guys lol
Two names to monitor for Denver are Kevin Porter Jr. and Gabe Vincent, with the latter said to have support among members of the Nuggets’ coaching staff.
