It’s not a joke to me. My life is hard enough as it is. You’re probably making money off this. I can’t even pay my mortgage. I got four kids at home. So not funny. He wasn’t performing for the camera. He was tired. He was late getting home again. His kids had already gone to bed without him. He was up at 5 a.m. to hit more stores. And some stranger treated his day like content. That clip went everywhere because millions of people heard their own life in those words. The early mornings. The mortgage that never gets easier. The four kids that need you more than the job can pay. The feeling that you work hard and somehow still end up behind. You don’t have to be a pizza stocker in Michigan for that to resonate. You just have to know what it feels like to give everything and still come up short. People who had never met Walt recognized him instantly. They saw the red shirt and the frozen aisle and thought, “That could be my dad. My brother. My neighbor. Me.” A quarter of a million dollars in his GoFundMe, and still climbing. It's not about one viral moment. It’s people saying the quiet part out loud. Hard work should be enough. It shouldn’t take a stranger’s camera and a public breakdown for a man with four kids to catch a break. Walt didn’t ask for any of it. He just wanted to finish his shift and get home. And a whole lot of Americans decided that was worth standing up for. God Bless Walt. And God Bless America.

This is important so here is my best attempt at summarizing Data Republican’s troubling find: For decades, USAID employees have successfully wielded our tax dollars to provoke unrest in foreign countries with the goal of replacing ‘illegitimate’ governments with their preferred governments. Elections present a favorable setting for orchestrating such unrest and political ‘transitions.’ Now that domestic USAID funding has dried up, a shadowy band of ex-USAID employees and former military/intelligence/diplomacy officials has begun implementing an active plan to provoke unrest in our own country with the goal of declaring our federal government as ‘illegitimate’ and replacing it with a completely restructured US government. This type of mass unrest could quite plausibly be used to nudge Trump to cross a ‘red line’ such as declaring martial law or invoking the insurrection act. Crossing any red line presents an opportunity to say, ‘See look! He’s an evil dictator! This is the only way we can stop him!!’ And too many people will believe it and uncritically go along with it. I’ll pause here to say I know, I know. It all sounds like a grand conspiracy theory. It’s not. Nobody is saying all elected Democrats are secretly in cahoots to stage a coup. No. This is about a relatively small group of specific unelected operatives pulling the strings to manipulate elected Democrats and media outlets and well-meaning citizens. How do we know? We have clear recordings documenting it. Data Republican always brings receipts. Please don’t be fooled. This powerful group claims to be saving democracy. But their plan is not at all about saving democracy. It’s about controlling it.
