It is important for me to say I didn’t achieve what I have achieved to date without a lot of therapy and support around me. I do NOT advise anyone to speak up, share anything about your personal story in public until you have a greater understanding of you, your journey, what you are facing and how you are facing it. I thought therapy would be a 12 week fix…..as the years passed I now know this wasn’t the truth, and for that reason I hope you consider this deeply before doing anything in public that could potentially cripple your world. I personally think everyone should have therapy like you would breakfast, it is a great start to the day! Just my thoughts, maybe they’ll help 🙏🏼

People in general don't know how hard it is to call out an abuser. Abusers usually defend each other. And have enablers that will defend any of their actions. They're really good at getting people to side with them. And usually have some kind of power within their communities.

Many people appear to support assisted-dying. But they don’t appear to support assisted-living for disabled, chronically ill, mentally ill and vulnerable people. Why is that?

Invite #3 to present @Project9010’s educational PACK to a 3rd PSHE panel this Autumn has landed in my inbox this weekend. Believing in myself wasn’t an easy part of my journey, especially when so many referred to me as stupid…I know now that it wasn’t actually me who was the dumb ass….far from it! I was just an innocent child caught up in the darkness of the people I loved and trusted 👉🏼 may those who hurt me never find the peace I have had to, to fight on to protect our children 🫶🏼 #notmyshame

I used to be ashamed that I was bulimic, highly embarrassed to share with anyone my dirty secret, and because of this I hid it for years - pretending I was fine, when I wasn’t. I look back now and see that this trauma response was almost a convenient distraction to my life. Bulimia gave me a power, but in equal measure it was very embarassing for me; another truly horrible part of my journey. Swapping out the addictions that had clung to me like leeches, AKA my trauma responses, for a life that I absolutely LOVE now; fitness, well-being, nature, performing arts, the ocean.... green things, has given me a peace that I never believed I could enjoy. I also know I couldn't have done any of this without support from my therapists over those years...they all know who they are, I am grateful to them all. Bulimia is an ugly force, and no survivor of any abuse should ever be ashamed of this...it is not your fault, you are managing pain. Fact.

If I was out of my role as a campaigner it would be because things had changed dramatically and the world was a better functioning place to exist - and that would be brilliant. Sadly it doesn't seem that will happen, because the wider priorities from the top' and others don't level with mine on protecting children....so will just keep trucking....#anotherday #campaigner #csa

2. To stop women from having any other partner apart from the husband. Some men who still cling to this practice explicitly state that they want a circumcised wife further promoting #FGM But what is most shocking is that women (elderly women) are also supporting this practice.

We need to end this violent practice and stop hiding behind the veil of traditional practice. We need to call out and enforce the law and justice to anyone promoting this practice. #endfgm #endgbv

Female genital mutilation is such a harmful, traumatic and painful process to undergo. Rooted in the depths of traditional practice as a way to keep women shackled and oppressed. It's sad enough that the main reasons it is done is 1. To ensure one gets married
Today marks International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation. For CNN’s As Equals, @McKenzieCNN went to Sierra Leone, where over 80% of women & girls have gone through FGM – and where one brave activist battles against the odds to end it, one community at a time.
