In a world where everyone's flaunting their expertise, network, and wealth, it's so refreshing to see someone flex their curiosity.

Life luxuries without kids: 1. Traveling to exotic places 2. Dining at nice restaurants 3. Frequent hangouts with friends 4. Free time for personal hobbies 5. Clean house and peace of mind Life luxuries with kids: 1. Actual silence 2. A full night's sleep 3. Going to the bathroom in peace 4. Getting out of the house on time 5. Watching them grow up, learn new things, and experience the world I wouldn't trade #5 for anything in the first list.

The iconic Windows 95 startup sound was created by composer Brian Eno, who worked with U2 and David Bowie. Microsoft’s brief to Eno was kind of absurd: “A piece of music that is inspiring, universal, futuristic, sentimental, emotional…and only 3.25 seconds long.” Eno made 84 versions of the sound. He told SF Gate that it was “like making a tiny little jewel.” Microsoft paid him $35k for the sound, which has probably been heard by hundreds of millions of people. But the real benefit to Eno was that the Windows 95 sound unlocked a creative block he had with his main music projects. “I got completely into this world of tiny, tiny little pieces of music,” Eno said. “I was so sensitive to microseconds at the end of this that it really broke a logjam in my own work. Then when I'd finished that and I went back to working with pieces that were like three minutes long, it seemed like oceans of time.”

I created the Google Cardboard almost ten years ago but quit VR soon after to focus on Machine Learning. VR is based on a ridiculous misunderstanding. Let me explain why in this thread.

NEW: we need to talk about the dire state of British transport infrastructure. Of the 52 UK cities with 250k+ people, only 8 (15%) have a tram or metro. In France & Germany it’s 80%, Poland is on 60%. Even *American* cities are better served, and the US hates public transit!

Still one of the most undervalued, important questions to ask in strategy. And, ironically, it will be for a long while to come.
Jeff Bezos built Amazon around the answers to the most important question no one asks, "what’s not going to change in the next 10 years?"

What it’s like to feel the world’s most powerful rocket, #Starship, from only 8km [5 miles] away!!! It shook our studio like crazy! Watch the door 😳 It wasn’t horribly loud, but it was thunderous & earth rattling. It. Was. Amazing! Congrats @spacex / @elonmusk! Slow mo coming!

Everyone seems to be cold plunging. But is it actually good for you? What are the physical effects? @SusannaSberg1 breaks down how the body reacts to the cold plunge, and reveals what kind of health benefits we see while in, and out, of the water.
